Quiet, Vintage, Super-clean! Right on!
This vintage motel was big & roomy. I'm not sure if it has always been this well-maintained, or if it was restored during a renovation... It looks "old" but it feels / smells / seems new. It was like being in a time warp, except the beds and water pressure were better, there was a fridge, and we couldn't hear the neighbors! The owners were on-site, helpful, and friendly. My husband and I are 60s and 70s kids, so we thought it was fabulous!
Honestly, there is nothing I did not like about this place. We're DEFINITELY staying here again on our next trip north; I'm not even shopping around!
Clean, but poor value
The rooms were quite clean.
I get that lodging in Mackinaw City is hard to come by on summer weekends, but this was way too expensive for what we got. The hotel wi-fi was nonfunctional, presumably because our room was too far from the single router in the office. If I ever stay in Mackinaw City again, I'll be sure to make reservations farther ahead of time.
