Beautiful room, spacious, tastfully designed (mix of antique & modern design), excellent bed, top location and still very quiet
the hotel staff is not Italian
The settting is wonderful, and the design of the hotelis fabulous. Italian design at its best in a palazzo,in the middle of the old town, close to everything.
Personnel a little too stand-offish. Couldn't tellus how to get out of town...
the location is very nice, near to the attractions of the city of Matera, quiet area, except maybe the fact that the hotel is neighbouring a church and there might be some bell noises
bathroom is poorly laid out and breakfast was adequate but not more
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Fantastic location above one of the squares. The room was a lovely size and well equiped. Decor was contemporary which we like. Idealic small hotel with only 7 rooms - perfect for weekend stay and very quiet. Lovely large bed although could have benefited from a duvet rather than sheets and blanket as the temperature had dropped.
Breakfast was poor. Not enough choice. Shower was not particularly clean and the room was dusty high up over the wardrobe; light fittings and bed. More pillows would have helped for a better nights sleep.
very good position to visit the city, very quite, large room, kindnessof the staff
