Everything is awesome
The staff was outstanding, very comfortable rooms in renovated suites. Excellent location
The breakfast buffet is overpriced and not good compared to similar hotels' offerings. But staff very friendly.
Location was great. About 3 to 8 minute walking distance to two subway stations (Anguk and Jongro-3). Although it was located in Insadong (one of the touristy neighborhoods in Seoul), it was quiet at night and very safe. Insadong is not "Gangnam style" touristy neighborhood but more of a cultural/historical neighborhood. A lot of great restaurants (casual to expensive) nearby (literally speaking, you walk out of the hotel and you'll start seeing many restaurants) and it seems like many of them are very popular (was on TV, etc.). We stayed at 2 room suite and it was very spacious (I would say about 1,100 sq. ft) and well maintained. Kitchen was somewhat equipped (e.g. cups, plates, coffee maker, pots and pans). We had washer/dryer in our unit and was able to do laundry couple of times while staying there. This place is not for a luxury or romantic getaway but more for family and friends on budget.
It seemed like they were preparing western style breakfast but not worth spending your money there. For example, instead of breakfast sausage, they served hotdog style sausage. The pastry they served were all store bought (not fresh item). It basically reminded me of continental breakfast from 1 or 2 star hotel in U.S. Everyone who worked there were nice and most of the staff had some knowledge of the area and had recommendation but no professional concierge service. No free internet service (I was surprised by this especially knowing how entire Korea is very well connected with free wi-fi, etc.).
Located in Seoul (Jongno), Orakai Insadong Suites is within a 15-minute walk of Myeongdong Street and Cheonggyecheon. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
