Not Very Welcoming Hotel in Hue
The breakfast on the rooftop was great w/both Asian & Western options. The staff up there was lovely & they were the only welcoming people/ladies at the entire hotel.
The staff at the hotel were very cold & not welcoming at all. They did not properly greet me when I arrived, didn't bother to ask where I was coming from, ect...like most other places-they actually didn't have my booking at first even though I did it ahead of time online & showed the reservation #. Hue in general was not kind to me as an Afican American female, & this hotel fit right in w/what I experienced the day & a 1/2 I was there (I left earlier than planned due to feeling extremely uncomfortable). The men in the lobby that sit around & do not do much laughed & talked about me each time I was in the lobby, it was very obvious they found black people amusing. It was extremely immature & uncomfortable. No one was willing to help me w/the train ticket I needed assistance with & when I returned from the tour they originally forgot to book they did not ask how it was, ect...if you are Asian (specifically Vietnamese) stay here because they were treated w/high respect. If you are a Westerner & particully African American do not book here!! the room were clean, as in no dirt, ect...but there were so many ants in my room on the 2nd floor as well as mosquitos. The walls are very thin, I heard the family next to me change their babie's diaper & heard the man snoring the one night.
