Older facility, bad neighborhood, overpriced
My truck didn’t get stolen overnight, which was a concern based on multiple people hanging around in the parking lot for no apparent reason when we arrived a little after 2am.
Clerk not present when we arrived. Suspect he was sleeping in back and only came out after we waited and then called out. Room we were assigned was already occupied. Upon return to desk, no clerk present. Called verbally, knocked on the ‘staff only’ doors, called the hotel phone, nothing. Waited. Waited. Waited. After nearly 30 minutes (no joke) he arrived back from somewhere and immediately accuses my son of loitering in the lobby. When he comes around the corner and sees all of us, he asks if we’re checking out. The same guy who just checked us in! I explained the room was occupied and he kept saying that can’t be right. I was continually polite but frankly not at all amused. Finally he assigned another room and we got in that one. Random people sitting in/around the parking lot at 2am Room smelled stale. Shower curtain damaged. No shampoo in the room. Lamps in room had burnt out bulbs. Bathroom tiny and had a dirty feel, although I can’t honestly say what was wrong. Just felt grimy. I will not return and certainly don’t recommend this location to anyone else. Especially for the price. This was a $50 hotel charging $150 prices.
Our stay there
Breakfast, pool, room was large and comfortable
Our tiller kept leaking when u would use it!
The hotel double billed 2 different cards. No one of authority was there to help me solve the error. I spent a considerable amount of long distance roaming dollars together with a huge amount of stress to no avail. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again!!!!!!! Tony Needemyer
Our room was very large. It had a king bed, couch, end tables, coffee table, very large desk with internet connection, great lighting, kitchenette, a great shower head in the bathroom and stone countertops all over. We had a great view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains from our room and the hotel was centrally located in Albuquerque to all places we needed to go in town. The hotel common areas and our room were very clean and nicely decorated.
The free breakfast ended too early and we missed it.
