Great Breakfast. Good service. Clean facility. Great location
We bought Samba dance/dinner show tickets from them. The samba was good but the dinner was in a Brazilian grill house churrascaria place. That grill place was very skimpy with their food and the quality was below par. They charged lot of money for very low quality drinks.
Beautiful room with balcony and sea view
Very slow room service
It is a very nice hotel. Located in a good neigborhood. Lots of restaurants near by.
Internet connection was poor in the room. I had to go to the lobby to get a good conection. Far away from good beaches.
The hotel was clean and the water in the shower was perfect.
I did not like seeing a security camera everywhere I looked. That made me terribly uncomfortable. Far too invasive.
Given the price of Rio hotels, this is remarkably good value. The staff were very friendly, and the majority spoke English. Generous breakfast. Very good rooms. Perhaps not the best location in Rio, but still convenient for city centre and beaches. Would thoroughly recommend as a good 3-4 star hotel.
Breakfast was very good, staff excellent. By Rio's disgraceful (expensive) standards it represented amazingly good value. Well located to visit the glory that once was Rio.
Nothing particular about the hotel, which delivered what it promised. It might be worth noting that the beach just across the road from the hotel is occasionally quite dangerous as the sea is unexpectedly rough there; and dirty.
The hotel has been refurbished and the rooms are clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and the linen and towels clean and in good condition. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the people at reception helpful. Catete metro station is just 4 minutes walk away and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. Our bathroom was pretty small but functional. There is a safe in the room and wifi was included in our rate.
The air con works well but is so noisy that we had to turn it off during the night. All taxes were supposed to be included in our rate but they added 5% to our bill, so we had to complain to have it removed. There was a sign at reception saying that this hotel does not add tax to the bill, so I pointed at it and even so the receptionist had to call the Manager before adjusting it. The cleaners start making the rooms at 8am and there's a lot of noise from 7:30am anyway, so you can't have a lie in.
Recently renovated building in a good location with friendly and helpful staff despite some minor difficulties
The hotel is clean, not noisy and very convenient located close to a Metro station. The breakfast is good.
Helpful english-speaking staff on the reception desk. Clean rooms, nice location close to metro and to the Flamengo beach, pretty safe neighborhood. Abundant choice in buffet breakfast. Good value for that price, would definitely recommend it to my friends.
