No toilet en suite-shared
Staff were wonderful and breakfast was very good. plenty of freshly brewed coffee. a good Irish fry, orange juice cereal etc.
Having to share a toilet. Had to go up a flight of stairs to get access. Bedroom floor wasn't clean. Room was tiny.
Location was great. Room was clean.
Reception desk employees spoke poor English. Walls very thin. Doors difficult to open and close.
Location and to have the shower in the room, even if the bathroom was a shared one
The breakfast room: very bad smelling, probably for aeration problems but it was quite disturbing.
the location was excellent, television in room but otherwise pretty basic but you get what you pay for so for price i payed was good for one night
no major complaints as i stayed only one short night and its ok for that purpose
It was awful we didnt like anything!
No hot water when we wanted it, one channel on tv,smoke alarm ripped off, peeling paint, shower tiny, queen size bed,it was one step up from a squat.not happy as it was our 1st wedding anniversary and was spoiled.
The close distance to the city
I would not reccomend staying at this b&B. It was dirty and smelly. Upon arrival we were greated with a musta smell. The room was falling apart. the plugs were hanging out of the walls. There were large areas of the paint missing from the wall. There were personal hairs in the shower and a used bar of soap left in the shower! A friend also stayed in another room and his was a similiar experience. The rooms were nothing like the pictures on the internet. No hair dryer or shampoo/ shower gel. Never again
Very little. Very average and overpriced.
Staff were just ok, didnt go out of their way or anything, rooms were pokey and stank of must, and the shower door fell on my foot. Single glazed windows too so could hear the very heavy traffic outside.
Central location close to shops and bus station
Bit noisy at night. No toilet or drinks facilities in small bedroom
En-suite toilet facilties not available
Nothing, actually. The room was less than basic. We booked 3 nights, we stayed one. Due to the poor quality of the room.
See above. No value for money. Far too expensive. For the other 2 nights, we booked a 4-star hotel for the same price!!! Really!
The Avondale Guesthouse did not have a room for me, despite my booking, and sent me to the Maple Guest House on the other side of the road
Dirty carpets and walls, taps did not work properly, broken fittings in bathroom, smelly
Friendly staff
Cold tap didn't work in bedroom. Breakfast only started at 8.
A stay at Avondale House Dublin - Guesthouse places you in the heart of Dublin, within a 10-minute walk of O'Connell Street and O'Connell Bridge.
