At the foot of the Smokies where the Dolly Parton statue stands on the courthouse lawn, the SureStay Plus by Best Western Sevierville makes a comfortable base in Sevierville, Tennessee, at the gateway to the Smokies. Outlet malls and riverside shops fill the valley nearby, the rides and shows of Dollywood and the parkway sit a short drive up the road, and the trails, waterfalls and overlooks of the national park spread into the mountains beyond. A free breakfast and an easy location round out the stay, with dining and the highway close by. The riverwalk and the giant Ferris wheel anchor the shops and restaurants along the Little Pigeon River nearby, the apple barns, wineries and craft fairs of the valley draw weekend crowds, and the back roads climb past cabins and overlook into the foothills. Dollywood's splash park and the dinner shows of the parkway fill the evenings, and black bears wander the wooded edges of the national park. Knoxville and its campus and museums lie about 30 minutes north.
