Vey helpful, friendly staff. Meals excellent
It was great tour of Lombardy was on and race goes around hotel fantastic!!
Heating didn't work first night but fixed asap
very very friendly staff, we arrived late at the hotel and they still prepared a fresh Pizza for us. Food is very good, the view is amazing. rooms are not the newest but clean and again the view is amazing.
no we loved the hotel
The views from the hotel are wonderful and the service from everyone at the hotel is wonderful.
Unfortunatelly the pub the hotel has below the rooms is very noisy and as the hotel is situated in the middle of a curve, it becomes even more noiser!!
As a family with young children on a budget the Hotel was perfect. The views were amazing. The staff lovely and very accommodating. Meals in the restaurant perfectly Italian. The rooms were very basic but we only slept in them so were adequate. The pool and pool area were well tended. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the lakes and mountains, we had a car but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel.
The children's play area should not be mentioned in the hotel facilities as it is way past it's sell by date. The picture used for the Hotel literature is not a picture of the hotel but a house belonging to the owners of the hotel. The actual Hotel is much bigger and not as pretty as the house.
Lovely location - fantastic view from the terrace in the sun with a glass of wine.....Food good.
Not the hotel's fault (they do know now that we've told them) but the location is incorrectly shown on Google map & local Kompass map. It seems that you should get off the bus in Civenna, but actually it's 2km & several hairpins further on up the hill, which is ok as long as you know. Otherwise it's a long walk with a rucksack. Breakfast good.
The staff were great: friendly and eager to do their best. The main plus point, though, is the exceptional view over lake Como from the (breakfast) terrace. For bikers, I'd imagine you'd hugely enjoy the route to get there and the roads in the vicinity.
The hotel is in need of some maintenance (broken shutters, peeling paint, etc.). It's fairly run-down, a little shabby and, frankly, not really what you'd expect from the star rating or the price. The shower stall in the room we had was also very cramped (for someone of medium build, so might even prove inaccessible for the fuller figure!). In addition, the breakfast offered is poor - a few slices of dry bread with a handful of individual servings of jam is about as much as you should expect. I'd also recommend sleeping with the windows closed as the local boy racers on their muffler-removed scooters seem to enjoy tearing up and down the winding road that passes the hotel, during the evenings.
The staff was very friendly and service minded. A fantastic view over Lake Como from the hotel veranda.
The breakfast was very poor and not worth € 5. You have to be aware of noisy local traffic just outside the hotel.
Owners very attentive
Swimming pool not accessible to clients due to private prearrangements by staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The views were amazing. The swimming pool and sunbathing area was great. The restaurant food was adequate.
The rooms were very old fashioned and the beds were not very comfortable. I would not pay for a room that did not have a view! Breakfast was awful - some mouldy fruit, dry bread and some jams. There is nothing to visit once you have arrived at the hotel, so you need to have a car if you are staying several days or just make it a pool side holiday.
