Our host. Roberto was such a wonderful person. We didn't know what to expect after driving through the narrow streets of the town up to almost the top, but when he opened the door and greeted us, we felt comfortable and welcomed. He was gregarious and funny. We laughed and laughed. Even the next morning for breakfast, he continued to enterain everyone with his wonderful personallity. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be going back.
There was nothing we didn't enjoy.
Roberto and Victoria went out of their way to make our stay special. It is a hard one to drive to so after walking up the hill Roberto drove down so we could follow him back up. The views and town are that special place in Tuscany that you only dream of. Roberto singing as he serves breakfast, talks in broken English, and offering tips on all things Italian are not something you can find just anywhere. Go, stay and discover for yourself. They are wonderful, happy, and sharing Italians!
The owner, Roberto, was very attentive to all our needs. He made our trip to Tuscany very special.
Nothing to report.
The location was great. The owners certainly make you feel special and give individual attention. The rooms were filled with antiques. Lovely terrace for breakfast. Parking within the city was a real bonus. Hotel has easy access to main street, as well as to cente square.
Some of the furniture is a bit dated with wild colors that didn't flow with the rest of the antique furniture.
Spacious accommodations; comfortable bed; good location; interesting building; friendly staff
Good location, hospitable staff, wonderful croissants for breakfast
The towels were linen-like...not terry cloth, not very absorbent & difficult to use. Couldn't access any internet tho we were told it was available.
very kind and attentive owners = staff
a little dark
The hotel is in the heart of Montepulciano and offers guest parking, despite the fact that the historic center is off limits for non-authorized traffic. The breakfast is served in the garden and is quite good, even if the staff is somewhat intrusive.
The rooms are part of the host's house and the experience is more like you are staying with a family than at a hotel. The host is a character who tries too hard to impress. The rooms are small, with low ceilings, no air conditioning, and somewhat overcrowded. The advertised "bath" and "shower" are non-existent - instead there is a tiny tub in which one has to bathe sitting down.
Roberto and Vittoria are delightful. The location is a treat. Easy to walk to every corner of the old town. Met up with others staying in the hotel and enjoyed a fun evening with dinner and wine.
Difficult to find, but worth the extra work.
Our host Roberto was a delight, so helpful and such fun. The bed was the most comfortable I slept in on the holiday. Exceptionally clean. It was easy to follow the many signs to get to the hotel - we still got lost because we didn't see them soon enough.
When you a stay at Hotel La Terrazza di Montepulciano in Montepulciano, you'll be in the historical district, just steps from Val di Chiana and Civic Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
