Locations. Prretty close of everythings
It is appartment that need be repair. Need to be maintained.
Nice location!.. The hotel a little bit old.
It's located in the best place of the city at walking distance to Navy Pier and the Michigan Ave. It's ok for a few days and only as sleeping place.
It's old.... Elevators are old and not working ok. Shower had two temperatures burning hot or ice cold. The rooms are okay but bare bones and we had a day where the maid did not do our room. It needs a lot of work inside the rooms. The general look is like a place that used to be great 50 years ago...now is old and kind of sad in general.
Old dirty tired and miserable staff
Getting stuck in a 90 year old elevator. Having to wear flip flops in the bath due to the dirt. The stains on the furniture. No modernization since about the 70’s.
Affordable and great location
Friendly staff and very accommodating
Dingy and old
The toilet wasn't flushed when I first walked into the bathroom which lead me to wonder if they really even cleaned the place. The beds are old and the mattress probably needed to be replaced years ago. But, if the mattress was old, don't worry bc the sofa are still new. They may look like they're from the 80s, but they have PLASTIC on them, under the fabric. I don't understand but I won't need to. I'll never stay here again.
Leaving was great
Great location, good value
Off Michigan Avenue location was perfect - quiet, elegant neighborhood yet close to taxis, bus, shopping , Lake Michigan - even a small grocery store - at a great price. Front desk staff were good to great and always pleasant.
Facilities were a bit tired, somewhat awkward. Small, slow elevator, slow WiFi, odd room layout, took away from a stellar review.
pleasant place in a busy area
Spacious room. For the location near Northwestern Med school, it was wonderfully quiet .Staff very accommodating. Good coffee. Available computer/printer.
The halls to the rooms were dim and old-looking, even though clean & well kept. It made the nicely-appointed rooms a big surprise! The door to my room stuck--annoying to my neighbors, rather than to me.
5 stars all around
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room we got was under $100 and it was great. We were shocked at how much value we got for the price. Great location too. Would recommend this place to anyone
The hotel was within walking distance to several attractions including Mich Ave and Lake Michigan
awful in every category except the front desk staff. Hair all over the room, sheets, and bathroom. 4 inch cement lip between the room and the bathroom (does a number on your toes in the middle of the night!), bed felt like a futon
Location, location, location. By far the best value for the location. The amenities including a full-sized refrigerator and kitchenette made it possible for us to save lots of money on food and beverage expenses. The staff was among the most helpful and friendly I've encountered. The secure area to lock up our bikes on the premises was key but IMO they could use some better bike racks (the ones that work with U-locks).
Though well maintained there's a definite need for some renovation and upgrades. Kitchen appliances, sinks and counters are showing lots of wear. Half of the buttons on the microwave didn't work and the stainless steel sink drain was very rusty. None of these dislikes would keep me from staying again, though.
Was not told about parking.
Comfortable, quiet, great location. Services were adequate for our short stay.
very close from downtown, museums, shops, river, concert... nice little studio
gym room was not clean
the people that working there
Heating was noisy and somewhat chilly it's usually fine on prior stays but it keep clunking loudly throughout the entire night
Great location and a tremendous value.
Beds were a little uncomfortable (hard) and the pipes made a lot of noise (which is to be expected given the age of the building).
Nice staff, room and was close to many restaurants and stores. Had a nice fitness facility as well. Juan, was awesome. He went above and beyond the call of duty to facilitate my requests. Would definitely stay here again.
Ideally situated for exploring the city. Staff available and helpful but not at all intrusive. The option of self-catering is good when making a longer stay for business. It's a nice building in a good part of CHicago, situated just one blcok from the Lake.
overall we had a great experience and stay
apartment style living. must purchase extra tp, paper towels and dish soap. not a problem as there is a convenient store across the street just wish I would have known instead of having to ask.
"Located in Near North Side, this apartment building is within a 5-minute walk of Broadway Playhouse and John Hancock Center. Water Tower Place and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital are also within 10 minutes. Chicago Station (Red Line) is 11 minutes by foot and Clark-Division Station is 17 minutes. "
