優點： Even though the communication in English was quite difficult with the majority of the flight attendants, one particular attendant was super nice and went to any length to take care of problems I and other non-Chinese speaking passengers experienced. Arriving in Beijing, I was worried about the proceedings as mentioned in the negativ comment box, but an employee from Hainan Airlines went to pick up passengers transferring to Seoul and take care of the check in process.
缺點： Before boarding the flight, it was not possible to check in online to my connecting flight from Beijing to Seoul. I didn't receive the necessary information and even after I was told about it after calling an employee of Korean Air, I didn't work. The person I spoke with on telephon herself didn't understand, why the system didn't accept my attempt to check in online. That was quite bothersome since I could get a boarding ticket for my Korean Air flight beforehand. Normally I would have to leave the transit area, line up to check in, receive the ticket, go through all check-ups again and go to the gate of departure. My flight left just 2 hours after arriving in Beijing and at airports as big as Beijing, that could have been very close to not being able to make it in time.
優點： Nothing". I really mean it Nothing.
缺點： I was flying to Delhi & it was an emergency situation for me bcz i lost my Dad & i was flying to perform the cremation of my Dad. And thing this was informed to the China Southern officials so that they could arrange something for me. I requested them to put me into another flight for which i was ready to pay the whole amount but no one listen to my request & i had to wait so long. I was amazed to see that no one was keen to understand my problem at both he airports i.e. Auckland Airport & Ganzhaou Airport. Apart from this the behavior of your officials was so rude & arrogant it made me feel as if i was a slave or some kind of culprit. Due to the ignorance & laid back attitude on your part i couldn't reach my destination on my time. Seriously it took me "24 hrs Extra" to reach my destination & as a result of which i couldn't perform the cremation. I was pissed off by the service; complete ignorance by the staff/officials of ur airlines. I wasn't expecting this kind of treatment from a reputed company like you. I request you guys to look into this matter seriously and try to take some corrective measures so that this thing won't happen in future with someone else.
缺點： despite checking in online i had to wait 1 hr to check in my bags, then another 50 minutes for TSA screening and immigration. Inalmost missed my flight Osaka - Shanghai when I was transiting in Shanghai, waiting for my flight to AMS had to clear immigration (why?) and go through another TSA screen, items that were allowed onboard in Osaka were refused on a second screening.when i asked to break the items that were confiscated (my cigarette lighter being the most egregious) the little apparatchik took my boarding pass and said if I wanted to do so I could do so back in the terminal and rejoin the line (in which I had already just waited for 40 minutes) compare this with the politeness of the Japanese experience, and you realize how much the surliness, aggressiveness , corruption and general thieving tendencies of government officials makes us despise PRC officials
