Llarger rooms & bed.
Super rude and unhelpful
Quiet and Comfortable
The room had a TV, mini ridge and microwave.
Needed a new toilet seat cover.
Perfect for our Needs!
The hotel was near the cable cars and within walking distance of a multitude of different restaurants. They validate about 25% of your parking expenses in the nearby garage. Considering the relatively low price the hotel is remarkably clean and well maintained. In the private room with a bath attached it came with the standard bed, desk, bathroom appliances, and mini fridge and microwave! The front desk managers were very kind and willing to help with any questions regarding the city.
The bathroom's hairdryer did not work but we brought our own so it wasn't an issue for us. Also, the bed was pretty stiff - it would have been difficult to sleep on it if we weren't so exhausted every night. You also need to be careful when wandering south since the hotel borders the questionable tenderloin district.
Location was very good. Very close to shopping and all public transportation. Grocery store next door on one side and laundry next door on the other side. Friendly staff. Very helpful with fridge we couldn't figure out, answering questions and booking airport shuttle for us. You do have to ring a bell to get service but they come right out and are very accomodating. We saved a lot of money staying here and were able to do more because of that. As long as you know going in that it is a totally budget hotel in every sense you will be fine. Continental breakfast was on time. Muffins, pastries, tea, coffee. As advertised. Liked that the outside door was locked. Loved having a fridge and microwave. Cab downtown less than $10.
We didn't like the fact that parking was very expensive and two blocks away when it sounded as if parking was free on their website. It also cost more if you actually wanted to use your car. Room doors were hard to open and fridges were surprisingly complicated. Not the cleanest but we were not expecting much for the price. Beds and bathroom were clean which was the most important for me but don't look too close at anything else. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and don't have much we didn't like.
The thing we liked best about the hotel was the location : shopping, Fisherman's Warf and the fact that there was a laundry available.
not clean at all, fiendliness of hotel staff, services
that not hotel, (categorie hostel or dormitory ), small room, we booked one dooble and one twin room and we got one small room , dirty carpet and curtains, smell on the room and in whole hotel, equipments old and damaged,, refrigator smelled, microvawe did not work.
The room was a decent size. The internet worked consistently and was of good speed. The room had a fridge and an old, basic microwave. Also a table and 2 chairs.
While the location was central, there were a lot of dodgy looking people in the area and I was afraid on the street even in the day time. It was also a fair way from the tourist attractions and you need to take at least 2 buses to get places. The advertiesed breakfast was a bit of a joke - help youself to a Danish pastry, mini cupcake or pack of instant porridge and take back to your room. No plates supplied, just a plastic spoon and polystyrene cup. And a pot of weak coffee on a heating device. The hotel is poorly maintained and old. The lift smelt like it had mould living in it and I wondered if I would catch anything bad. There are many much better looking places, even the hostels looked better.
The hotel was located in waking distant to most of the tourist attrations in San Fransisco.
The hotel gave an impression of poor maintainace and shabbiness. The room was dark and small. I miss a bedside table. A big TV cabinet stood in front of the window and excluded the day light. The illumination was bad. The double bed was too small and the bed clothes might not have been quite clean as one got fleabits there. It was impossible to get two keys, and the breakfast was not continental.
The hotel is located quite near from (10-15 minutes walk) from one of the central underground (bart) stations Civic Center, so it is easily acessible by the public transport from the San Francisco Intl. Airport. The room was not large but clean. In addition to usual amenities, it contained a small fridge and microwave. Just in the neighboring building, there is a good food store. The place is rather quiet.
The breakfast is rather poor. There is no special room for eating it. Near the reception, thre is put a small table with hot water, teabags, coffee, some cakes, croissants, and oatmeal. One should take the meal himself and go with it to his own room.
microwave and fridge very handy. safe area.
bathroom tiny - could barely get in it and once in no room to close the door unless you stood in the bath. bedroom very dark with tv cabinet blocking any view or light coming into the rooom. window also overgrown with foliage.
It was within easy walking to Union Square. There was a grocery store next door, an internet cafe 2 blocks.
Reasonably close to Union Square .
Very poor breakfast. Stairs would make it difficult for some to enter.
