It seems the key is a kind of the room. I've booked a studio (#205 - warmly recommended) everything is new, nice, clean and confortable. You have a small kitchen with frige and staff, huge bathroom, a park view with silence and fresh air outside. If you don't like noise of a big city - good option.
Distance from the city center - be aware, but taxi is coming in 5 min and take you to the city in another 5 min. Breackfast can be definitelly better - its not even remind of what Russia can offer. Also - if you come a half of hour before 10 (it served until 10AM), you most probable will have only a tea with sugar...from some reason we couple of times found empty plates and it seems was a problem for the staff to refill it...
The hotel offers big enough rooms, and a great breakfast menu. The café located in the hotel was actually opened all day long until late night, so there was no problem with meals.
The carpets in the rooms could have been washed, very dirty. The location is the worst in the city! The hotel is located in the old industrial area, and is surrounded by closed factories. There are almost no living buildings around. Besides it is very hard to get to the metro, I had to wait 30 minutes for a bus. Way too far from the downtown, and there is no place to go around the hotel. It was very insecure to walk there in the evenings. It’s a pity, because the hotel itself is not so bad, but the location…... Scary!!!
