Housekeeping was late
The responsiveness of the desk manager was to be congratulated. Over all the place is usually clean and the staff always courteous. I am not sure what the problem was with housekeeping that day but something was definitely off.
My wife and I arrived around 5:00 PM. We were assigned a room on the 2nd floor. When we got to the room, it had NOT been cleaned and made up at all. We called the front desk and asked for another room which the desk manager immediately assigned and ran up the stairs and hand delivered to us for the 5th floor. That room was clean and organized.
I liked that the location had an indoor pool and hot tub. I also liked its proximity to restaurants and supermarket.
I didn't like that service staff was less than helpful. I did not like that they never had pool towels available for use and that our room was not serviced by housekeeping staff for two days. I had to call and ask them to service the room. Breakfast service is from 6am-9am weekdays. There was a line for food at 8:45am on Thursday and I jokingly remarked to the lady servicing the food that we were keeping her busy today. She replied very curtly, "No, it's just that you all didn't come on time for breakfast. You're all late." Our first night there I had to complain to the front desk about noise from the room directly above us at 1:00am. While I realize that this isn't the fault of the hotel, I had read another review of this hotel wherein a guest had complained about the noise.
Wouldn't Go Back
Noise in room above me on 4th night would not stop. Called front desk and solution was for me to move room after being there for 3 nights with no issues. Took an hour to check in because they didn't have my reservation AND that I had prepaid. No communication from Travelocity was their excuse. My key would not work EVERY day I cam back in the evening. Had to keep going back down to desk to get new one. No receipt available upon checkout. Can't wait to get my credit card statement. Breakfast czar lady insisted upon her opening exactly on time and not one minute sooner.
Evening / afternoon staff was very friendly. entire place was very clean. room was set up well and clean.
Beds were a little on the firm side, but still comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. Was a little difficult to get the room cool.
