Plenty of space
Because we came in the off-season (neither summer nor winter), the hotel was pretty empty. That wouldn't be a problem, but it was tricky checking in without staff available in the reception or on the phone. However, the attached restaurant was able to get us a room. Also, the sofa-bed wasn't as comfortable as a real bed, but it wasn't bad either. All-in-all, we were VERY pleased with our stay and loved the huge rooms and bathroom. Will definitely stay again next time we're near Innsbruck!
The room is massive, way bigger than you can comprehend from the pictures. Wifi works great, TV has enough channels and the subway station is only 3 mins walking away. The room is clean and cozy.
The furniture and decor is clearly dated. There are rugs all over the place, most of them clearly in need of replacement. However, this is an aesthetic issue, otherwise the hotel has strong value for money!
friendly staff, quiet area, easy to locate
Location of hotel, nice lobby, friendly staff
expensive parking on the streets around the hotel
The hotel is within a walking distance from the city centre (app. 30 min), Kunst Haus Wien and Hundertwasser are app. 1km away, the central railway station is within walking distance, and the metro and the tram are practically on the door step. The parking is easy (tho on the dear side ~12€/day, but only during the week). The staff are super friendly.
The curtains could be washed and the carpets replaced by the wood.
even day faces at the desk seemed to change every half day, each staff has been extremely helpful and friendly; keen to facilitate our discovery of Vienna
friendly suggestion for improvement: adding bedside lamp(s) would be great
The friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to help. The location of the hotel, although a little bit out of the centre of town, was never an issue as the public transport in the area was A1.The immediate area around the U bahn station has some vagrants hanging around but they never seemed to bother anyone and the presence of a police station across the road should but even the most nervous at ease. All in all a great hotel for the money.
Nothing to do with the hotel but the yellow bus sightseeing company didn't seem to conform to the usual punctuallity you come to expect in Vienna
the lovely staff
not value for amount paid
Friendly staff, very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Very nice lobby. Well furnished. Free wireless internet. Some fresh fruit at breakfast.
The only caveat would be if you are a light sleeper, as the walls are quite thin. Also, the hotel faces onto a reasonably busy street, with a tramline running along it. As there was no AC in the room, and it got quite stuffy, this might be an issue in the summer if you had to sleep with the window open.
good location, easy accessibility
the cleaning lady woke us up at 8:20am with terrible noise, trying to get into our room 5times, which made our stay very unpleasant.
Good location, close to the train station, and there is a supermarket beside, clean and beautiful room, and you can have beakfast in their beautiful courtyard.
The beds were comfortable.
The room - too small, too noisy, bad quality (it must be renovated, especially the bathroom). Maybe there are better quality rooms but no. 212 does not meet my expectations. In addition, a
Great boutique hotel close to train station. The breakfast was amazing!!
