Would never use nor recommend KAYAK.com to book a Hotel
I accidentally booked the wrong evening for travel. Upon immediately realizing what i had done, I picked up the phone and attempted to rectify the situation. I was told that i could not be assisted and that i would be billed for the mistake. There was less than 5 minutes between the time i realized my mistake and the time i was on the line with customer service. Terrible experience. Never again.
Location was great
Rooms small Breakfast are small to many people. Couldn’t eat there Staff great
Convenient, Clean and Great Staff
Conveniently located Nice amenities Very friendly staff
Room was decent size but bath was small. Mirror, because it had a cabinet behind it, protruded over sink which made an already tight situation more difficult.
Front staff was friendly and personable. They were very helpful. Luisa is very nice.
It's not a major thing but when we arrived a furniture company was moving in all new mattresses and chairs. The problem was that they tied up the elevator. We waited approximately 4-5 minutes for the other elevator.
Everything was great except the reservation
We love the location (near to the NJ Transit station and easy to get anywhere in the city). We also love that there is no "resort fee" which kept the cost down for us. A hot breakfast is included, which was great!
We booked a king size bed through a travel website but when we checked in we were told that two double beds were all that was available. What is the point of reserving a king size bed if they just give it to someone else?
Location was perfect. Free wifi, breakfast, early check in. Everything was great.
Nothing we didn't like.
Room was large for the area and clean, complimentary breakfast was good (waffles a plus!) and in a great centralized location to Times Square and MSG.
No fridge in room.
Small but that's expected.
Our check in/out and all interactions with staff were very positive. Breakfast was good, a hot waffle, pastry, egg, or potatoes, plus juice, cereal and hot drinks. The two doubles in one tiny room were adequate. No tub only shower and the TV/cable was the bare minimum. Complimentary internet was adequate. Overall I recommend and would stay again.
Horrible place, breakfast awful with little nutritious value. It would have better to eat at McDonald's ! This is overpriced even for Manhattan. If parking is available, it will cost you an average of $50 per night. I don't think the bedding had been changed for me after the prior customers had checked-out.
great midtown stay
Close to Penn Station Close to excellent shopping Expansive free full breakfast buffet
No room views Slow elevators
Great hotel and great value
For the value the hotel was great. The location of the hotel is very convenient to many locations and subway lines. The breakfast in the morning exceeded expectations and was substantial. Hotel is very clean and feels updated.
The bathroom felt a bit small but for a hotel in NYC that is expected. Do not try to drive and park in this area, parking is atrocious and very expensive.
Staff was excellent
The breakfast was great! The price was good. Room was clean.
THe walls were very thin and you could hear the partiers that came in at 4am. When the front desk was notified of the disturbance they responded quickly and the room quieted down for about half an hour, but then got really loud. I did not sleep well at all that night!
The hotel was clean and tidy. it was centrally located and withing 2 minutes walking distance to Penn Station and madison Square Garden. we arrived at Penn from Newark so ideal for us. the hotel located on W 31st street was ideal as a center to get to all the major sights in NY. Breakfast being included was excellent to set us up for the day. There were a couple of cafe/restaurants nearby. would stay again if we get back to NY.
breakfast was nice
Yes, there was! I had major issues with the WIFI Internet Access. It didn't work on my IPad and my Windows lap-top at all. The "necessary page" in the Browser didn't turn up. The "free WIFI" was one of the reason why I did choose the Hampton. The staff said they cannot give me any discount, because I booked the hotel via bookings. I shall try to claim it thru you? Anything you can do? Speak to Lisa + John at reception. They confirm that I had complained a few times.
We arrived mid morning and after a 10 minute wait were shown to our room. Service was consistently prompt and staff courteous. I would definitely stay again.
Breakfasts were not so good
Waiting for the lift at breakfast time! we walked down 16 floors - it was quicker!
room size vs cost
Very friendly and helpful staff.
only one elevator, slow
Staff were really friendly and willing to help. Location was great! Well positioned for shopping and sight-seeing.
