Can't find anything positive to say after this experience.
Pre-paid and reserved room was unavailable (king suite). Upon arrival, was first told to re-book at another hotel. Then given a horrible closet of a room with a broken heater. Only got partial refund and am very dissatisfied.
Wasn't Able to Stay There
Booked the Hotel online on a very busy evening in the city (hardly any rooms available). Was so thankful to find a room in a well rated hotel, as it was getting very late and I was getting concerned as a female in the city with no where to go. When I arrived I was told that there were no rooms available due to an inventory issue. The front desk person did help me look for another room, and after an hour of looking we were able to find another room in the city. However, it was twice as much as what I would have paid if they would have had the room I originally booked. When I asked if they would cover the difference in price, they told me there was nothing they could do since they refunded my money. They were also not willing to pay for my cab fair to the other hotel. It was a long night, and I was extremely disappointed in the guest services at this hotel.
Great location and staff!
- Friendly, helpful staff. - Convenient and tasty restaurant next door, Sarabeth's
- Inadequate window air-conditioning unit during hot, summer months - Absent air conditioning in the room hallways, and elevators
This hotel is falling apart despite renovation. You feel that you are at the third world country when you are using the bathroom.
location is great breakfast is delicious hotel is quiet
Staff at reception desk were pleasant
NYC was hot (95 degrees) during our stay. The A/C window unit was loud and did not keept up with the heat. The traffic noise was also loud. One of two elevators was working.
The bed & linens were delicious, the shower and soaps were inviteing...
Queen room was a little small...
The bedroom was very hot - and airconditioner noisy and not very effective - and no iron or ironing board.
the very fact that I could find a room. Staff was pleasant
room was barely large enough to accomodate a single person. Toilet needed adjustment as it ran and ran and ran.
it was not easy to get the stroller up the steps.
No ice machine
Comfortable, slightly larger than the norm for NY hotels, rooms. Nice decor, proximity to museums.
Continental breakfast lasts only hour and half; not convenient for tourists.
It was very near Central Park, the Metro and Guggeenheim. It was also in a place where there were the least number of people.
"Located in Upper East Side, this boutique hotel is steps from The Jewish Museum and Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
