Excellent hotel, only drawback is heat
The room was beautiful (Cumberland) and spacious. The common areas: restaurant, library, bar/lounge and parlor were beautiful and never crowded. The staff was very friendly. The food was good and the wine list reasonably priced. Really enjoyed just sitting in the lounge sipping wine, was a real highlight of the trip! Would definitely recommend this hotel.
When we arrived our room was very cold and it required two space heaters to warm it up, which took several hours. This unfortunately ruined some of the aesthetics of the room. The restaurant recommendations were not great, we were directed to a chain Italian, when there was an excellent small local place nearby.
