breakfast was 500mtrs down busy road with no pavements. no buses back after 6:30pm and taxi costs 10 euro.

It's not an hotel but rather a worker's hosting. Minimum service, I even felt uncomfortable staying there. I've been woken up by the owner at 7 to pay for the overpriced room before she went "to work". Far too expensive for what it is actually (40 euros). Far from the center, no place to park . I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, it kind of wasted my stay in the beautiful Lucca.

Authentic, basic, good helpfull service (bed-towels-cleaning-breakfast), privacy, good price.

We knew that the hotel was on the main road, however at night time there was a dreadful noise almost like an aeroplane taking off, we think this was the heating, however in the morning at 7:30am there was no hot water!!!!!! We had bunk beds in our room the top bunk was really high and had no rail around it so my son ended up sleeping on his matress on the floor. The hotel is not in lucca but at least 2 km from the sign which showed that you had left Lucca, also very hard to find.
