The hotel is an elegantly restructured ancient palazzo very near the walls of Lucca and therefore easy to reach with very good parking just a few yards away. Our room had a very good view of other ancient buildings where Luccans actually live. The size was quite adequate. the furnishings in very good taste, and the bathroom was new, large, and had a great shower and stall.

The rooms are basic, furniture is old and worn, the ground floor front room was very noisy and had a bad smell.
