We booked for our wedding anniversary weekend away hotel clean tidy staff very friendly and room comfortable facilities very clean and tidy also. Food was good also.
The warm swimming pool was lovely. On the whole the staff were helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed and nice room with view of the loch.
We complained that the porridge was not hot enough and it came the same way the following morning. Told them again and the waiter said it was better that way as it wouldn't burn your mouth! Really think the chef should have apologised. Also resent supplements on the price of the breakfast ie £3.50 extra if you wanted smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. This doesn't normally happen when you have paid for Bed and Breakfast.
relaxing in pleasant surroundings, with good food. all staff were very pleasant which made our stay an enjoyable one.
This hotel is in a fantastic location.
The standard of the staff is quite varied, mainly due to communication problems.
The breakfasts were fab and we liked the location. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. A good place to get away from all the stresses of city living.
Lack of facilities. Would have been good to have some activites eg, putting or pool or snooker.
Great location. Low key but friendly staff. Good food. Clean, pleasant room. Comfy public areas.
Minor niggles only. Selection of beer was poor. Highland marching music is a poor accompanyment for a posh meal (some lyrical Gaelic ballads would have been better). Though room was perfect, the public areas had small patches of tattiness, especially squint picture lights and peeling wallpaper - place was clean and warm, but looked like it needed a handy man! Swimming pool was warm and clean, but ceiling tiles were decaying and most of the gents lockers were locked and had no keys. All this detracted from the sense of staying in the hotel being a luxury treat. However, one suspects this was reflected in the price.
They could do with repairing the showers in the pool changing rooms
very nice and cosy hotel - not too busy and with a "small feel" compared to the Mac Donald Forest Hills
Hotel staff were very friendly and breakfast food was excellant
The quiet location, the proximity to woodland, lakes and forests, the leisure centre, the quality of the meals, the general ambience.
