Decent location for attending a conference at the convention center.
No elevator. No in room control of the temperature. Phone didn’t work. WiFi didn’t extend much beyond the entry. No TV in bedroom. Cleaning people left supplies in the room. There was a moth and mosquito I dispatched the first day. Any one, maybe it could be overlooked but combined made for a a relatively below average stay particularly for the rate.
Inexpensive with a good location.
No power outlets or mirror in main part of the room. Very dated. Empire Landmark across the street is a much better value. And it has great views. I chose this place because I had stayed at Empire Landmark before and wanted to check out something different. This place was reviewed similarly and was right across the street so I thought I'd give it a shot. Next time I will stay at Empire.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on Robson St with tons of great restaurants and shops around. The building was quiet and the room we were in was quite large with a kitchen.
The traffic outside is pretty loud if you are in a room at the front of the building. It can also get quite warm in the room, however there was a fan in our room which solved the problem for us. If you intend on using the blow dryer that is provided in the room, don't use it on high as it will throw the breaker. The breaker switches however are right in the room which makes it easy to fix.
Value priced. Hip location.
Electrical outlets are few and hard to find. Dated decor and furnishings.
The hotel is located on Robson Street, right in the middle of tons of shops, grocery stores and resturants. Very close walk to Stanley Park, the marina and other touristy places. Has a kitchen.
There is no elevator in the hotel. The beds were not very comfortable.
They require a ridiculous amount of information at check in. Photo ID of everyone in every room. Addresses, emails, and phone numbers for every guest. They took a $400 deposit in addition to having my credit card (I have no idea why they need that). Out keys didn't work at first and then wouldn't work again the next day. There were no electrical outlets in the room. The rooms were old and derelict. I would expect these rooms to cost somewhere between $30 and $75 per night but they were $250

Rude staff, no elevator, very dated interior
Location was reasonably central to the parts of Vancouver we wanted to see. This hotel was only worth it due to proximity to other things in the area, such as Stanley Park.
The staff was consistently very rude. It seemed that this was due to the fact they were foreign (eastern European) and were not aware of how stern they came off (language and cultural barriers), but still, very jarring experiences were had. The hotel itself is very old and dated (1970s feeling), and has not kept with the times. No elevator, and dreary interior.
our room was right beside the front desk/lobby so it could be loud at times. the main window looked right onto the side walk so there was not a lot of privacy.
The reception staff was very welcoming,They helped us find excursions and made the necessary reservations.This hotel has no elevators but the hotel staff offered to carry the luggage to our room.
The Hotel has been renovated & the rooms are very clean, modern & spacious. The location is very good for anyone who would like to stay in the middle of downtown Vancouver. Having a kitchenette in some rooms, would come in handy for longer stays & providing a light afternoon tea & breakfast was a bonus for the price paid.
Our room was at the front of the hotel, so directly looking on to Robson Street, which is busy, which is fine, but there is no air con, so I would think this may be a problem during warm spells, as having the window open would not be an option.

This was a cheap hotel in a good location. Room was small without chairs
Small room and lacxk of chairs, no tea/coffee making facilities as appeared in brochure, though breakfast/afternoon tea area accessible. No internet station, although wireless throughout the hotel, but our netbook had been damaged during travel and we could not use facility.
