Decent if you get the right room.
I had an Executive King room. It was very large for 1 person. the bed was nice, but mattress a little firm, and pillows a little soft. The room has real wood furniture, which is nice but mostly not needed. It has a work desk, a leather reading chair with ottoman foot rest, and a side table with two chairs. Room was generally clean, with no mold or dirty carpeting. It felt newly renovated. Plenty of free bathroom amenities, and "adult" amenities available for a price. Free bottles of water each day, and optional "premium?" water bottles for a price. No problem with road noise. In-room safe worked properly.
shower drain, and sink drain both were very slow to empty water, so I ended up standing in a few inches of shower water each day. Air-conditioning worked, but was slow to change room temperature. hotel construction on the floor above mine, which started at 8am every day and continued through to 6pm. There was no warning about this. Thankfully I was not at the hotel during those hours. confusing light switch configuration with no labels, always had me guessing which switch I had to use. The closet is a very strange design, and placed up very high. there is no door to close the closet, so everything is open. Staff did not speak English at all. Slightly inconvenient location and taxi drivers did not seem to know how to arrive.
This charming hotel is located in Shenzhen. This hotel does not offer 24-hour reception. Pets are not allowed at Grand Holiday Hotel.
