The water pressure in the shower was excellent! The staff asked us daily if there was anything they could do to improve our stay; it made us feel very welcome and that they were eager to make our stay the best it could be.
Nothing; we have no complaints.
Convenience for everything
Location, people and hotal interior is awesome ~
Amazingly comfortable bed!!
After a chaotic wedding week this place was just what I needed. The bed was fantastic. I hadn’t slept that well in months!
Long check I lines after 2 pm
Amazing customer service - would highly recommend
The hotel is newly renovated and less than a 5 min walk to the beach Love the pool And lot of all love their customer service. Renee went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care off Great breakfast The aquarium was really fun for our kids along with the pool.
Our refrigerator broke on day one but they were good about replacing it The parking is expensive $30 a day as is the breakfast buffet $35 per person Wish the kids pool was heated The Morimoto restaurant customer service was disappointing as they kept saying the chef was there so we made multiple reservations and yet every time we went they came up with some excuse as to why we could not meet him. A great way to make money
Toilets are little old and there is no AC
Good location, but it's definitely not a resort
I liked the location. It's right next to the mcdonalds if you're hungry for a cheap meal, especially if you don't want to spend $35 for the breakfast buffet that they offer at the hotel. But if you get a free deal for the breakfast buffet if you book through Expedia or a third party website , it's definitely worth it. There's a parking garage connected to the hotel but it'll cost you $25/night. It's also super close to the Hyatt and international market. And the beach is 1 min walk. You just have to cross a stoplight. Diamond Head and the zoo are close too. I would uber to diamond Head if it's later in the day cuz parking can go fast. But the zoo is walkable.
There's a hidden resort fee that you pay $20 a night for. But my question was, where's the resort? The clerk was like, "this is the resort." But he wasn't clear that the "resort fee" included beach towels and beach chairs. There's a LOT of construction going on. It doesn't bother me so much, but it might bother you. There's no pool, but the hotel does have access to the Hilton's pool next door. But I was just swimming at the beach the whole time. All the "resort" amenities are basically under construction/refurbishment- like the aquarium with restaurant and tennis courts. So the only thing was I was paying a resort fee when the stuff for the resort aren't even available. I feel like they should have just waived the resort fee.
Great stay classy rooms!
I LOVE the new renovations they are doing here. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back for sure. Comfortable beds, great showers, beautiful views. Friendly staff ! It was wonderful.
The 35$ breakfast cost. It was a surprise to me to pay that much for breakfast.
First time in Hawaii!
The updated room was very nice. We stayed on the 37th floor and we had a fabulous view of Diamond Head and the beach. The beach is literally right in front of the hotel. The location is great. It is within walking distance of everything you need. This hotel is a great value for the price. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
The lobby needs to be updated. It was clean but the decor looked like it was from the 80's. They need to update it like the rooms. The elevators were a bit of a hassle. There were 4 of them and one was not working. The ones that were working seemed to have a mind of their own at times.
I booked this room for my elderly parents for their first vacation in Hawaii. Paid for a partial ocean view room, and got only a slice of ocean. They were given the worst room possible in that category. AC unit outside room was extremely loud which made their sleep miserable. I feel sorry for them and regret booking this hotel. But the damage was done.
When you go to Wikipedia and look up Waikiki, there is a picture of THIS hotel! If you book an Ocean-front room on a higher floor in the Eastern-most tower, you'll have the classic view most can only dream of from your balcony or even inside the room. Besides the obvious beach across the street, within a few blocks walk, you'll find dozens of restaurants and high-end shops, as well as the Honolulu bus transit line. Timely response to the only need we presented was commendable. Wifi worked well, also.
Room service neglected to replace the coffee pod on one of the days the room was cleaned. We didn't notice until the following morning when it was time to make coffee. When visiting the fitness room, one of the two elliptical trainers had a broken display. This made it impossible to use in any mode other than manual.
Location! Great view and clean
Outdated decor is easily overlooked for a clean low priced room
Everything! Especially the Beach/Waterfront! It was walking distance from the hotel and EVEYTHING else...Love it. I booked this trip as a father's day present for my husband and to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary...loved everything!
Hotel is quite old. needs improvement.
It is easy to shopping
Directly in the City of Waikiki, near the Beach, nice view to the Diamond Head crater, Beach & Kapiolani Park. Stop for bus really near the Hotel. Some footsteps away from shopping streets. So all in all not so crowded, but in the City. Many Chinese & Japanese Folks, Everytime friendly. For Europeans a nice way to get experience with many nations.
The Spa is not so advisable. Interior designof the Hotel is ok, but old 70´s style.
I liked the free upgrade, and the senior breakfast buffet as well as the quiet atmosphere.
There was really nothing I didn't like.
I was very pleased with the location of the Hotel which was very central and right opposite the beach. The breakfast in the hotel was very good and catered for all tastes and the three storey aquarium was a lovely feature and very restful. The room was very well appointed and very clean.
My only critism was that the lifts were slow at peak times and there should be chairs outside the lifts on all floors so that guests who find it hard to stand for sometimes 5-10 minutes for the lift at peak times, could sit in the meantime.
Yes - Waikiki is not really my favourite kind of place, but this hotel was excellent as a place to stop for a night close to the airport (30 mins and 9 dollar transfer on shuttle)
Location was perfect, price reasonable
Beds were very uncomfortable!
Nice location on the seafront and at the quieter end near the park. Several restaurants nearby. Really good for a "beach / city" like Honolulu.
that it was very close to the ocean
that most meals served were buffet & i could not order off the menu for the children. we went next door to eat.
Hotel staff were very helpful, particularly the lady at the tour booking counter and two of the front counter staff when we needed assistance.
