Fell in love!
Absolutely fell in love with this hotel from the moment we stepped through the doors. We were given a lovely quiet room where we barely heard anything from outside.
Room lovely and spacious. Nice products. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful building. Delicious breakfast.
A nice stay
This is a stunning building where most of the original features have been retained. The bar and restaurant is funky and modern yet in the most incongruous Victorian environment. Room was very high ceilinged and immaculately furnished and comedy and clean.
Downsides were no air con a bit cold and the place is a rabbit warren (though they do give you a map)
The staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. As we were going to the theatre the location was great. The building itself is amazing - what a beautiful old building...! Breakfast was good and our room was massive. I look forward to staying there again
With its clock tower and striking Victorian architecture, The Principal Manchester is an unmistakable landmark in the city's skyline. A magnificent, terracotta Grade II listed building, the hotel has a history dating back to 1890, when it first opened as The Refuge Assurance Company headquarters. Opposite Oxford Road Station and just a 10-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly, The Principal Manchester is perfectly placed for business travel and weekend getaways, and is close to many of the city’s attractions.
