The Art Deco
I will be dealing with Marriott's management and not publicly discussing it
No central heat. Unit did not work. Space heater was used to provide heat for the room despite sub 0 temperatures outside.
Trendy. Good design.
They nickel and dime you for everything. Pay extra for WiFi. $20 for a movie. $6 life water on the nightstands. Also the lounge in the lobby is nice but at night on the weekends all the locals get polluted drunk in it.
The Foshay is a boutique hotel with friendly service. There are luxuries everywhere from the time you walk in to breakfast, lunch, dinner and the room amenities.
It would help to have some direction (vernal and/or a sign) when you first walk in that the check-in desk is at the end of the hallway which is not obvious without walking around. Of course, this may be the intent to make you explore the opulence of the lobby with lighting features.
great location, cool historic tower, bars were good too
bedding and (king) mattress very uncomfortable, didn't sleep well
Hotel has been modernized a bit to much.
Everything was wonderful
Rooms were excellent! Very clean. Bedding very comfortable.
Nice lobby and lounge area. Convenient restaurants either in the same building or walking distance. Museum/ observation balcony.
Our room had poor lighting, furniture had scatches and chips. Paint on wall was cracked in the bathroom. The lounge turns into a club at night with lots of drinking, it's very loud. We had a hard time sleeping due to the number of drunk people there. We had to bring ID to be in the lounge and the bouncers were really rude.
The modernization of such a iconic building to such a high standard of luxury! The staff was encredibly acommidating during my visit!
Hip place to be
I liked the decor. The vibe was fun and youthful. The room was decorated nice.
Asked for a room with a view and got the 5th floor. Wanted something a bit higher in a 28 story building.
Horrible view from the small 2nd floor room
Friendly staff, swank bar in the lobby and on the 27th floor. Free trip up to the museum and observation deck on floor 30
Awful view of the HVAC equipment for the restaurant below. Smallest room on the second floor.
The decor and the quiet.
1. Too many tiny towels. 2. Finding out that I had to pay for internet, that is outrageous given the cost of the room, I would probably not stay at a W hotel again because of it. 3. It looked online like there was a tub in the 'wonderful king room' but unfortunately only a shower was available.
The location is wonderful, the staff is very nice.
There is no free parking for guests, and the room service is very expensive.
The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Very cool ambiance, 1920's meets euro hip cool.
