I like the attention and information that personal gave me about the city .
Unassuming but excellent.
You would not know it by the sort of average photos that I saw on-line, but Site 61 was better in many ways than I expected. I hadn't stayed in a hostel for many years, so was not sure what I would find for such a (compared to hotels) low price. What I found was a well-run hostel operated by a kind and personable staff, a half dozen immaculate (and seemingly brand new) bathrooms (clean toilets, showers with great water pressure and warm water) and rooms that were also clean. i also enjoyed chatting with the staff in the mornings before I headed out for my day. Love this place !
I don't love bunk beds, but who does? Just one of the things one must deal with when staying in a hostel. But as far as bunk beds go, mine was comfortable!
