Location was great, close to Frenchmen Street where all the great live music is.
The rooms are pretty crappy inside i.e outdated, grimy carpet, stains on the walls, molding in the shower coming off, stained towels. I don’t think they care one bit about how they present themselves.
the staff was great The lobby was nice and that coffee and tea for guests,
room was dirty dust in wall curtain, floors dirty , no phones in room no clock bugs coming out if sink and tub , room smelled moldy, pillows were stained flat and there were no extra pillows to get so we were given pillow from other room. dirty carpets dark out dated lights ,stained towels . the patio was dirty dead plants ,pigeon poop and far from shops in the French quarter.
The gentleman at the front desk was nice and helpful even though I was not happy with the room.
The room smelled like a basement in an old building (musty, mildew, damp smell). The room was not cleaned very well and didn't seem well taken care of. The courtyard was not well maintained, it wasn't a place I'd like to hang out at.
It was a beautiful hotel, if you're into non-corporate, antique-y style. Clean, the interior design was pretty, and the people at the front desk were so nice and helpful. Oh and the location was so convenient and amazing. So easy to have (probably a little too much) fun out in New Orleans.
The parking garage is closed from 12-6am, which was a bit inconvenient since I had to leave super early in the morning and parking in the Quarter isn't great. But that was a very specific problem to have that probably won't effect most guests.
