The room offered great space and comfort for the price and easily catered for our 5 person family
the fire doors caused some health and safety issues for our 3 and 5 year old
Very understaffed. Service at breakfast was very poor although the food was fine when it eventually arrived.
Friendly staff, giving local relevant and personal advice on places to eat and buy surf gear.
The staff were very helpful, understanding and flexible (I ordered 2 courses at dinner but then changed my mind and just had starter as was not feeling very well - staff were very nice about it, no problem, and only charged us a very small amount for the starter). They also gave us good advice about nice things to do during our stay in the Mumbles.
I think our room was maybe near the kitchen, but a very loud humming noise kept starting and stopping all evening up until almost midnight, not possible to sleep through it.
The bath was lovely and location was good - near to Mumbles and Caswell bay
The Tv was difficult to control - decor of the room dated - top of kettle dirty and the room could have been dusted - there was a wedding party on the night of our stay who were very loud until about 1.00 am so we had limited sleep - their rubbish - broken glass bottles, fag butts, empty cans were all around the entrance in the morning when we went in for breakfast. The breakfast service however had to be the worst experience as the staff were slow to seat us - there was mess everywhere from previous guests and the staff seemed unaware of the need for speed, a chap in particular would take one dirty thing out at a time or go to the kitchen empty handed where he could have multitask - we asked for coffee but then had to wait for milk, there was a few juice varieties to choose but no clean glasses - no fresh coffee on offer. The cooked breakfast was nice although the order incomplete. Other guests were also unhappy having to wait for toast and then giving up - general attitude of staff serving was not good. I think the management should take these comments on board to improve this service regardless of wether the hotel had many guess to stay - more staff who had adequate training should have been on duty to cope with the demand.
