I have stayed at this hotel a few times and always felt welcome, staff helpfull and polite
the bathroom shower needs updating
The friendly staff and the excellent breakfast
Helpful friendly staff. Large room with good balcony and lovely sea view.
Appallingly bad old mattresses. Inadequate bedding. The counterpanes had thin flat padding and we were very cold; they were also badly stained on the inner side which covered one. We asked for extra blankets and were given one each; they were grubby and torn. They brought a portable heater which sported a red label warning not to be used because faulty. They brought a new one. The kettle didn't work; they brought a new one. We spent our nights cold, painfully uncomfortable, and in revulsion because of the dirty covers. Unfortunately we were on the second floor with no lift, many difficult doors to negociate, especially one at the top of three stairs where one could not get one's weight behind to shift it. Not for old or remotely frail folk
Lovely comfy chairs in the room. Very helpful friendly staff
due to rather dated, though comfortable tatty regency style, sockets were hard to find.
The staff were really welcoming and friendly and I liked the location
Staff polite and courteous. Breakfast excellent. Good sized room. Needed to stay longer to appreciate the hotel
Our room in the hotel was in need of a little decoration to warrant the price charged for our one night stay.
relaxed and friendly atmosphere
seeing dogs being walked past main restaurant during meal times
Food was excellent, Reception and Room maid very polite and helpful
Found dining a very stuffy experience the Head Waiter was extremley unfriendly although the waiters and waitresses were loveley, he almost made the dining room feel like a headmasters office.
The staff was wonderful, very attentive and polite. Food was very nice – a shame the Oysters restaurant was closed when we stayed, as I would have liked to dine in that restaurant.
Quite possibly the squeakiest floors I have ever known!! They have to be tried to be believed! The road just outside the hotel was incredibly busy (Not the hotels fault) but the rooms were suitably double glazed so the sound could be blocked out. I cant’ remember seeing a lift? It was no problem for me – but older or less able guests may have an issue with this.
The Hotel was very hot, the bed was solid and creeked everytime your moved.
