The location is probably the best in the city - right on the central market square. It is the only hotel on this square. Some other reviewers complained about the cost of the restaurant, but the prices are comparable to others in the area. We also found the food to be quite good.
The room was quite small. It didn't have a chair, only a couple of stools. No lift, no tv, no radio. WiFi did not work.
Location is good.
The staffs are so rude. In many countries for years this is the first time that we have faced such spoilt attitude. Kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum son derecede terbiyesiz garsonları ve çalışanları var.
The downstairs restaurant area was very warm and cosy and the young guy behind the bar was friendly and welcoming.
On arrival there was no record of our booking, and we were offerd a room without a bathroom as an alternative, which we refused. We showed the gentleman our booking confirmation and after a while we were given the room we had booked. The bedrooms were sparse to say the least, the pillows were flat, and the heating was turned off during the day,so the room was damp when you returned. There was no TV, no tea or coffee facilities, no chair and no comfort. There were dead mosquitos on the ceiling, mould on the bathroom window ledges and the net curtain kept falling down. Whilst we were there was a problem with the electricity and there was no hot water or heating during one evening, which meant we could not shower.
with regard to location you will not find a better hotel in Bruges
I found the hotel staff very aggressive on check out due to the fact I was one hour late checking out .. 3 members of staff tried to intimidate me into paying an extra night .. We finally agreed that I pay an extra 20 euro which I would have gladly paid initially without all the scare tactics . Its a pity as it is such a great location but the whole thing really tarnished the weekend .
Great staff - Pieter looks & sounds like Yul brenner (movie star). Good comfortable room, with good shower. Fantastic location in the market in central Brugge. Good Continental breakfast offered.
Could improve on the pillows, as they were all flat & hard. Would be nice to have a mixture of pillow styles. (Four provided in the room).
Location, staff helpful
We were pleased
Great location. Cosy bar/restaurant. Quiet room.
Some of the facilities in the room were in a poor state of repair.
breakfast was delicious. really fresh
bathroom which had the only window and the only radiator, was separated from the room by a wooden and glass slide door to allow some daylight to sift through. to let some warmth in we had to keep these doors open. all bathroom smells were coming in too. decor of the room was mismatched
With a stay at Hotel Central in Bruges (Historical Center Bruges), you'll be steps from Bruges Market Square (Grote Markt) and Historium. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
