The room did not have a bathroom- it was down the hall. The blankets were dirty - covered with hair. Nobody came to clean the room or make the bed. The room was dirty. It was more like a homeless shelter than a hotel.
Under major construction. Showers too small. Bad wifi. No phone in room. No remote for tv. Door knob broken.
The room we were given had probably not been decorated for 20 years - very basic indeed, and this is not what the website led us to expect. We thought we were getting an ensuite, but were directed to a shower downstairs by reception (which we didn't investigate) and the toilet was a cupboard on the scruffy landing. Very disappointed. We had booked for 2 nights but left after one.
See above. Very disappointed.
Great area to visit, lots to see all local to the hotel. Lovely family that work very hard to see that you have a comfortable stay.Rooms do need updating, toilet on landing no tv or kettle, take your own.
the hotel is very basic but the village of montmarte where it is situated is superb - lovely!! well worth it for the location, but think i would find another hotel next time which is not as basic.
that the shower cubicle was right next to the bed within touching distance - a bit unusual, and that the toilet was shared on the floor you were on.
The friendly staff
À bit too simple, à disappointment that there were no TV in the room.
Very good location
5th floor is a long way up without an elevator
No good points. Paris is beautiful, but the hotel, terrible, disgusting.
Horrible Hotel. Very small rooms with old furniture and very dirty place. The bathroom, shared, is too small and terrible, with no water and toilet paper. The shower, with coins, ugly and terrible. I payed 2 rooms for 3 nights, but I left the Hotel in the first morning, without a payment refund.
The location of the hotel was ideal for anyone trying to get a taste of Paris. It's near the top of the city on some smaller roads, but it's booming with small shops and eateries that make the city what it is. People are very leisurely and more easy-going in those parts as well. There a few excellent street performers and bands playing in the little center square or park of the neighborhood during our stay. The best part about the room we stayed in was the window because at any time you could stick your head out and watch all the action on the streets, and there was always something entertaining to see.
The climb up the stairs to the 3rd floor was pretty tiring but that's really all i have to complain about with the hotel. It wasn't fancy by any means, but that's not why i stayed there. I was on a budget, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. The people who own it only speak minimal English though, so if you don't know basic French, be prepared for a little confusion upon check-in. That wasn't a set back though, and we don't know any French.
Toilet separate to room .Smell of owner's cooking.
The host was just impolite. Even if the price was low, the service was so bad that i wouldn't recommand you this hotel at all. With unclean shared toilets and bathrooms, you don't feel like you're in a hotel, but more like in a vacation camp.
