Very nice place but can’t cool the room
Very clean and decent location in relation to Venice. Staff was helpful regarding the area as it was our first time visiting Venice. Breakfast was good, but very pricey.
Room would not cool more than 22 C, which was too warm at night.
Zombie apocalypse at the NH Laguna Palace
I enjoyed the cleanliness of the rooms, the decor, and the view of the riverfront. The room gave me every indication to believe the place was high end.
The place seemed dead. All the lights in the hallways were off, the water in the shower fluctuated temperatures when used (like it hasn't been used for an extended period of time), I only bumped into one other guest in my building during my 1 day stay, and I could tell from the outside how many rooms were occupied - I'd say around 10% at best. This place was huge! Prior to arrival, I didn't think the size of the hotel would be a problem, but once I got there, I found it very annoying. The restaurant was in another building, and we had to go outside and around the waterfront to reach it. Reading the other reviews, I can confirm it's true - the service is mediocre at best. The staff provide seem to have no sense of urgency to help. Our dinner took very long they were unaccommodating. When I asked if I could add chicken to my pasta (which was not on the menu, but chicken and pasta as separate items were), they acted as if I had just walked into the catholic church and pissed on the baby Jesus himself. The service was slow. Upon checkout, I was told by the desk attendant the person with the authority to complete the task was unavailable and I had to wait 10 minutes. This place feels very understaffed. Given the small size of the staff, the seemingly nonexistent guests, the dim lighting and the infrequently used water pipes, I'd venture to guess NH is loosing some serious money on this investment. Granted, I did visit in May, which is probably a slower season.
the ONLY thing good about this hotel is that it is close to the airport and that is was somewhat reasonable.
this hotel/convention center has an extremely odd layout.....it is not customer friendly. We checked into the wrong side of the building and then had to drag all our luggage without any assistance to another building where we did not even know where the entrance was. The staff seemed very disinterested in helping us. We seemed a "bother" to them. The hotel desk said that breakfast was served until 11 am and got there at 10:40 and were yelled at as we entered the dining hall by the staff that breakfast was over at 10:30 and there was no other options. The hotel has the appearance of a new and modern facility but is totally soul-less with the rooms appearing to have been decorated with no comfort thought!
Breakfast was not bad, free parking near hotel
No room service, wi fi for 10 euro per day, windows are dirty, it is to poor room for 4* hotel, first night we had few towels and other bathroom accessories (for one person in two bad room), hotel looks like a shopping center where hotel rooms are made instead of store,
The room was very clean and very big, the breakfast was excellent. We had a great time.
external facade of the building and marina (for boats), underground car park
air-condition problems, room not clean, hotel looks as new but is very used, very dirty windows, very big noice wehn the doors for room must be open (access card mechanism)
We stayed at Building "B" as cheaper side for 2 nights. They don't have enough equipment and service at their room in spite of 4 stars. Especially, I don't recommend family with little baby need to have milk this hotel. Because there were nothing to have hot water and they did't bring it to us. And we have to move to venezia just by land, not sea.
they had no record of my reservation; given a room, it had no air conditioning till the morning of our grateful departure;
The Hotel is very nice and the breakfast was good as well. Verry nice location in the laguna.
the hotel isn´t 800 meters from mestre train station. it´s a 5 minutes bus ride fron the station - a couple of kilometers. but it was easy to find even without a taxi.
The only nice thing about the hotel was the aspect over a canal.
This was the most over-priced and unsatisfactory hotel experience I have had in Europe, and I don't think this was a "Venice" pricing issue. This hotel has 2 different buildings, an up-market 4 star hotel and a budget 3 star hotel. Despite paying for the 4 star hotel we were forced to stay in the 3 star hotel in a noisy room next to a lift - the reception staff rudely would not change the room. The breakfast was not up to scratch for a 4 star hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as the risk of being downgraded and not refunded or made good in any way is too high !
The hotel is great. Lovely resturants and great food. All the staff were very helpfull. Location is good too.
Breakfest was very good, good shower.
