No wifi even in common room
It was cheap for Venice prices
No one was at reception when we got there. We walked around to a different hotel that then led is back to our room. There was no wifi in the room and the wifi in the common space didn't work on our 4 days in Venice. I went to the other hotel (where we had checked in) and asked if I could use their wifi. The man at the front desk said no. The costumer service was awkward and disjointed. The place was not really clean. All that being said I knew it was a cheap hotel so I guess I got what I payed for... Next time I'll definitely spend the extra money to get a little more.
The price was really great. The room was very big and they gave a double room instead of twin without any additional fee.
In end of November it was a bit too cold - the room have no heaters. The reception is a bit strange - it was in other hotel 30 meters away.
Room was unexpectedly big and well furnished. The bathroom was more than good.. Overall I liked the hotel a lot. Would definitely stay there again.
Comfortable beds, clean linen and clean rooms. Very good bathroom. Located 3 min walk from the railway station but very quiet. Good value for money. The receptionists were polite and helpful. We were allowed to keep our luggage after we checked out on the departure day in the reception area.
No lift . A very steeple stairs and no staff to help with the luggage. Not too easy to find the place. When we finally did, the door was locked and noone there. It appeared that there is one common reception for two hotels. This should have been reflected in the hotel information. We ariived at midnight - two ladies and a child,. and we spoke English. Still it took us some time to understand what to do Imagine a person travelling alone with luggage who can't read the note on the door in Italian or English! . Even if he could he would have to drag his luggage back to another hotel, climb the stairs , get the key, and all the way back.
city location, close to everything.
other than the good location and smiling receptionist. everything else is too bad.
Proximity to the central train station.
There was a stench in the room (like mould), staff was not very friendly.
Outside and lobby not very nice.
Excellent services of the hotel stuff
Extremely poor breakfast - very limited choice of food, chaotic organization. I cannot remember a worse breakfast at any other hotel.
Part of the hotel was residential and a very large party was held one night which the staff of the hotel were not able to do anything about. Also a late check was asked for when we booked and when we checked in however the Room was then sold and we were kicked out of our room at 11:00 am (our flights were not until 10:30)
It was very hot when I was there, and although my reservation did not call for an air conditioned room, the staff upgraded me at no extra cost.
there were a lot of school children (probably 14-15 yr range), and they made a lot of noise which no one seemed to want to quiet except the other adult guests who were being disturbed.
