The room cleanliness.
Parking, All around noise at all hours from people who seemed to be long term guests, shouting between floors. Too much light in the room coming from the white light on the wall right next to the lavatory. Breakfast, at around 9:20 the waffle mixed ran out and the front desk told there was not anymore available. Only a handful of sausages left and one of them had a human hair wrapped in it. I told the girl and the front desk, she said “let me check” and grabbed what seemed to be a notebook and that was the end of our interaction, there was not an apology or we will get more for you, nothing of the sort and lastly there werent any napkins available.
The woman working behind the counter was fabulous, kind, helpful, etc. The breakfast was good as well.
The pictures on the website were WAY better than it was....it was old, a lot of construction going on, not in a great part of town, and the room was dung up, old, and smelled so bad. After a shower, and the bathroom was damp, the whole bathroom and room smelled like urine. Super gross, but we just needed a room for one night so we just dealt with it. I’ll never go there again and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else.
Good location but noisy
There were a bunch of idiots fighting right in front I wish staff would have called 911
Parking was limited
We arrived late after a long day of travel, and the parking was overcrowded with large vehicles from a utility company. There was no place to park. The attendant at check-in offered us "free parking on 7th street."
Front desk was very friendly and helpful
Close to downtown, can walk to bars and restaurants, complimentary breakfast.
There seems to be a homeless population in Chico that hangs around the area. Pretty harmless, but as a young business woman, not exactly comforting.
I liked the location. With the hotel being downtown I had easy access to everything I needed to do without having to drive.
There was a lack of parking and the room had a funky smell to it.
Very comfortable, no complaints about the accomodations.
When I called to upgrade the room to one with two Queen sized beds, the staff did not inform me that there was an extra charge for an additional person, more than 2 people. It was a nominal fee but I wish we had been told in advance.
Quality of decor and cleanliness far above a 2 star hotel. Well appointed with a flat screen TV, nice clean linens, refrigerator, microwave. Room size small, but typical of 1 star hotel. Attractive landscaping added to quality experience. Skip the spartan breakfast and go to The Morning Thunder Cafe 5 minutes away.
Close to campus and downtown, breakfast provided
The room was very clean and updated. The breakfast was very acceptable. I have already booked another stay when I bring my son up to start Chico State.
Some details.........couldn't find the remote...it was underneath the bed. The phone didn't work, so we had to walk to the front desk if we needed anything. Pool was really small.
