Staff are friendly and the hotel is pleasant
By far the best thing about my stay was the breakfast! All the food was locally sourced and the bacon, sausage and eggs were exceptional.
To be honest I found the hotel very old fashioned and in dire need of modernisation. I could not open my bedroom window, one of the curtains was partly off the rail, the tv tuned into CBeebies and not much else, I struggled to get an internet connection from my room and the avocado bathroom had a loose hot tap on the basin. The bar had no atmosphere at all .... there was a tv there but it was not switched on for some reason. There was a strange musty smell about the bar and lounge area. Not sure how the hotel qualifies for its AA 3* rating
The staff where excellent and where very helpful. The room looks a bit tired and need abit of a makeover
The room itself looks old fashion but good value for money
We were not too impressed whent he fire alarm went off at 7am and we could hear our neighbouring room playing thier music very loudly from early in the morning which kept us up. So although comfort and facuilities were more than adequate the nooise control could have been better
On entering the bathroom I was confronted by a dirty toilet bowl (without going in to detail). I am not sure the towels had been changed The room was cold and I was unable to heat the room The wifi would not work
Relaxed surroundings, Great staff
Menu and food better than expected
Convienient and quiet
