Rustic mountain hotel
The wood interior and manager who jumped out of bed at 2am to check us in
A bit outdated
I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The location was great.
The rooms were not very clean- there were stains and hair on the bathroom walls...
It did the job
Our room was a single queen bedroom. Pros: -Price -Location -Clean pool -Views of the mountains from the outdoor hot tub -Play structure for children -Communal fire pit when there is no fire ban
I'm not one to complain and wouldn't have said anything but I wanted to prepare others for what they may expect. Cons: -Inconsistent shower temperature -No garbage can in the bathroom -Only a portable air conditioner that did a mediocre job at best -Cannot blow dry your hair and have the air conditioner running or you'll blow a fuse -We opted not to have our room cleaned but requested to have our garbage taken out for us, which we gathered and neatly piled outside everyday. No one ever came. Even after we asked the housekeepers directly everyday. They worked in the rooms right next to ours but never took our garbage. So everyday my husband took the garbage out. The Rundle isn't a terrible place to lay your head. It's a good spot on a budget or if you're just spending the night on your way elsewhere. I would not recommend it for an extended stay though.
Hot without aircondition
Fairly clean, on the main road, friendly receptionist.
Did not realize there was no air-condition perhaps for the price paid, so for being summer it was hot. No fridge and no microwave, though a fridge was put in on the second day. Also on the second day there was only one fresh towel and coffee when they were two people
