Wonderful location and staff
The Sun Palace is beautifully maintained by staff who seem truly happy to be working there and genuinely enjoy serving customers. The beach chairs are so comfortable (thick cushions), the towels are large, the showers are large with nice products provided. We loved the hot tub in the room. The location is ideal. It's at the quiet end of Cancun so there were no noise problems. The Thai restaurant has the best food on the property. The room service staff were fantastic!
The Mexican restaurant menu is neither Mexican nor tasty. I'm not sure what is happening there. The drinks on property are plentiful, but if you order anything other than a straight alcohol drink (martini), you will get mostly mix. Very weak.
The best vacation ever
I spent my honeymoon here and it was amazing. The food is excellent and there's a lot of variety. Our room looking out on the beach was perfect and a fully stocked liquor cabinet was a nice surprise. The guest relations people helped us use the majority of our resort credit on excursions we loved.
I didn't like how the first thing you do after checking in is having to sit down with a guest relations person who tries to get you to attend a timeshare tour. We told them no outright and they didn't bother us about it again however.
Great stay at Sun Palace!
The overall property was beautiful. The pools were great and we had a lot of fun playing pool volleyball everyday. The food was great and had enough options to never get bored. The service was wonderful and we are so glad we were able to get the upgrade to the Grand level room with Concierge through our Kayak booking!
Everything was amazing from the moment we arrived. The front desk greets you with a refreshing welcome drink, cold towels to cool off and a flower for me. The hotel staff is amazing, food is excellent and drinks and alcohol selection are great and on the high end side. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, couples only, no kids, this is a great place. Oh yeah, the beach is amazing too!!!
Food and services were the best. The room was comfortable with panoramic view of the sea
"Nestled on the beach, this Zona Hotelera property is within 1 mi (2 km) of Costa Occidental de Isla Mujeres National Park, El Rey Ruins, and Delfines Beach. Aquaworld and Maya Cancun Museum are also within 3 mi (5 km). "
