Great potential, hope the renovations go well.
The maids were very nice. The location and beach access was very good. The room was quiet. the refrigerator was very quiet.
The sink had huge cracks. The bathroom was set for two people and we registered for three. They advertised that soap, shampoo was provided and we got toiletries for only one person. Had to make a trip down to get extras. The outdoor steps to the second level had chunks of concrete missing. Blinds missing, light coming in at night kept us awake. Pillows were super high, Very uncomfortable! ROOM WAS DESIGNED FOR A MAXIMUM OF TWO DOUBLE BEDS. WHEN THEY CHANGED INTO A ROOM OF TWO QUEEN BEDS IT BECAME WAY TOO CRAMPED!
Overall was ok, nice place to stay when traveling
The room was pretty clean and spacious, and the hotel itself was very nice.
Breakfast very limited, no place to actually sit.
Price, location
Rooms kinda small
Has all the basics at a great price
price and location it's near waterfront and downtown area
It's old, swimming or spa was outside and not working...they are renovating it. Thin walls
Convenient location near South Tahoe casinos. Friendly & helpful staff.
Enjoyable stay
Clean, spacious, comfortable room, convenient central location, friendly staff. Short 2-3 minute walk to rear entrance at Harveys. Would definitely stay here again.
Wifi connection suffered frequent disconnects. Okay for web surfing, not so good for real-time tablet games. Cell signal strong enough for backup internet access with mifi.
Elephants!
Close to casinos and heavenly
Thin walls, loud people. Sounded like there were elephants running around upstairs all night long! Finally had to call the front desk at 1am to get moved rooms so that we can get some sleep! Say that they only checked in the people 10 minutes ago but that was a complete lie because we heard them running around since 8pm. Will never stay here or recommend staying there
Good for what you pay
Clean, close location to points of interest, friendly staff
TV in room didn't work, keys were deactivated halfway during trip and no one in the office at the time. Had to rearrange plans for a few hours
A very affordable stay in SLT right on Stateline
Family business! Located on Stateline therefore a short walk to the casinos if that's your thing. A marginally longer walk to get to Heavenly Village and all the shops/restaurants.
Mattress was pretty sunken in, we ended up rolling in towards the middle in the middle of the night. The fitted sheets and mattress pad came off the mattress on all 4 corners. Multiple times. Pretty annoying. They pumped the hot tub, I wanted to use that. I believe I found rat droppings in the bathroom though no other evidence.
Great. We will be back again.
It was better than we expected. I expected cheap and worn out and not working. The beds were clean and comfortable. Nice after getting beat up on the slopes all day. The bathroom looked recently remodeled. The ceramic tile floor was heated. Nice in the winter. I expected orange juice and white toast for the free breakfast (like the Roadway Inn we stayed at in August). The breakfast was great. Fresh fruit, oatmeal, bagles, danish, juice, coffee, tea, toast, toaster waffles. They advertised a hot tub. I expected that it would be inexplicably out of order when we were there. No, it was good and hot, and we enjoyed it after the slopes each day. We didn't rent a car while we were in South Lake Tahoe. Alpine Inn is close enough to the main Gondola to walk. And we took a bus from the Reno Airport. The bus doesn't deliver you door to door. We knew that when we got the tickets. But one of the stops is just one block from the Alpine Inn. Sweet.
The only thing that sucked was the internet connection. You can't beat the connection you have at home. I don't travel enough to have anticipated a poor, slow connection. It was a bit of a shock. And we are all so connected. My phone plan worked great. But leave your laptop at home.
Great hotel for the price
The price - $50 Fridge, microwave and free wifi. The grounds are beautifully planted and meticulously groomed. It's an easy walk to the beach or the casinos. Staff was warm and helpful. Free simple breakfast. We stayed here before, and will again.
The building and rooms are in need of renovation. That being said, they are adequate. Some of that other guests can be rowdy.
It was really close to the casino, and close to everything.
I was not pleased with the customer, the front desk was very rude. We got over charged.this is definitely a crash pad, there was people party near the pool. I would not recommend this motel.
The hotel grounds were well tended and the swimming pool and jacuzzi looked spotlessly clean.
Room very run down, dirty and overpriced.
The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were small but comfortable. We were told that they have been remodeling rooms and that by this time next year, all rooms should be redone. Very close to casinos, shopping,Heavenly, etc. Pool, spa, grass area was great for kids and for hanging out and visiting. We would definitely stay there again.
Great location.
The spa in the room and the distance to the beach
The staff was very nice. It was in a great location. The rooms was clean. The prices were very affordable.
The hotel was close to the casinos. The price was reasonable and the staff was courteous.
Squeeky floors. No privacy from next door people. Dripping shower head ( I had to get up in the middle of the night to put a towel in the shower to absorb the dripping impact).
With a stay at Alpine Inn and Spa in South Lake Tahoe (Lakeside Park), you'll be a 5-minute walk from Casino at Harveys Lake Tahoe and 7 minutes by foot from Heavenly Gondola. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
