Great full English breakfast. Comfy beds. Clean, modern bathrooms.
Not really a hotel
Staff was friendly. Bathrooms nice.
It is a converted college alumni dorm with very small rooms and little comfort. Not appropriate for almost 300 GBP.
Place was fine but not a typical hotel. I think de
Staff were great, good location clean.
Lack of restaurant/bar. My room was a pied a terre so again a bit odd but whatever People should just be aware of it.
Very central to shops, theatres and restuarants. Included breakfast was great!
Area very quiet close to a park. Price ok and they have few very modern rooms as well. Close to the center.
The breakfast(hall) in the college to cold and not so cosy
Cosy room. Lovely view. Helpful, friendly front room staff.
A little cramped. Needed extra hooks for hanging. No safe in rooms. Lots of tight stairs to walk up to get to room.
nice atmosphere, quiet, well situated
Clean room, quiet
Large room, clean, quiet with a comfortable bed. Good quality furnishings and nice shower room.
Some people make not like the fact that reception, the room and the restaurant are in 3 different buildings.
-Modern, minimalist room interior -central location -excellent breakfasts at cafeteria -proximity to underground
-Shower was a little small
Large and well-appointed room for central London at this price level. a bit different from normal hotels. The great hall in the college is an interesting and unusual location for breakfast.
Staff were very welcoming and efficient, my room was clean, comfortable and warm! It was a nice experience having lunch in the college hall - made me feel like a student again. Great location - quiet, but central with easy access to centre by foot or by tube.
Good location - quiet area and close to underground station - excellent breakfast in pleasant dining room and friendly staff.
No bad points - room was at top of stairs and a little on the hot side but this only a minor personal preference.
The Goodenough provides 4* accommodation in five historic Georgian townhouses overlooking one of Bloomsburys most attractive garden squares. We blend the traditional with the modern to make the hotel a home away from home for those who wish to enjoy the best the capital has to offer. Our superb central location makes The Goodenough the perfect place to stay - we are close to the British Museum, the British Library and Kings Cross St. Pancras station home of the Eurostar. We form part of the educational charity, Goodenough Trust, and guests can take advantage of the cultural and academic events at Goodenough College. The buildings now occupied by The Goodenough on Mecklenburgh Square were designed as a suite of town houses by Joseph Kay in the early 19th century as part of one of London's most beautiful garden squares. They became a nursing home during the Second World War and were later entirely renovated by Goodenough College to provide guest and visitor accommodation. The buildings were re-opened as Goodenough Club in 2001 by Patron: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and then rebrand to The Goodenough on Mecklenburgh Square in June 2018.
