You get what you paid
It was cleaner and nicer than expected! Great value .. only stayed a night .. but would stay again if looking for a quick cheap sleep!
Trash trash garbage trash
I've stayed here before and it's been fine. It's not super nice and the amenities are very limited, but it's always been reasonably clean, cheap, and convenient. This weekend was a whole different story. I arrived Saturday afternoon to an empty lobby and had to yell into the back to get someone to come to the front desk to check me in. This guy was wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants that he appeared to have slept in. Strike one was when the employee tried to charge me again for the room I'd already paid for in advance. Strike two was when I had to ask him repeatedly to speak up because I'm hearing impaired, and instead he actually spoke more quietly. Strike three was the room itself: one bed had sheets covered in pubic hair, and the comforter on the other bed was splashed with what were obviously sex stains. We went downstairs to get our rooms switched and ended up on the phone with a manager, who was eager to offer the excuse that the hotel was short-staffed because the GM had been hospitalized earlier that day. That doesn't strike me as a valid excuse for only having a single employee in the whole building and putting guests in rooms that clearly were not cleaned after their last use. Regardless, the manager did say she'd refund half my money. To his credit, the front desk employee did move us to a different room and personally checked to make sure the beds were clean. He apparently overlooked the rest of the room, though; the windows opened all the way, had no screens, and were covered in thick grime, and everything else in the room was covered in a visible layer of dust. That was Saturday. Today is Wednesday and I have seen no evidence of a refund. I just called the hotel and asked to speak to the manager on duty. The person who answered the phone told me the manager was too busy with paperwork and would call me back when he had time. This is a garbage hotel run by garbage people. Don't stay here unless you enjoy being treated like a nuisance and sleeping in other people's mess.
