The room door didn't lock properly. Toilet flush didn't remove contents of pan. The shower was barely omitted a constant spray of water. No cups in the room for tea and coffee. No staff working at check out, shoved rooms keys under shutter. Rooms were very cold. Very hard and uncomfortable bed. Tv aerial was broken.
River view, convenient location & parking 9pm-7am free
Room cold no remote for tv . No tea & coffee facility - "removed due to abuse???" I arrived after 11pm & the place was locked up . I was first offered a room that hadn't been made up or cleaned .breakfast not served til 8am.
The smell. The hotel was nothig like the photos shown on the internet. The room was dirty; walls stained with damp; the bathroom had a shower that trickled water, the shower base was full of grime, no light in the bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities; one dirty glass beaker with 3 tea bags abd a wooden stick; no coffee. Very noisy; the room I was given was near a door in the corridor and banged loudly everytime it opened/closed.I would not recommend this hotel....ever.
the view from the windows
poor hospitality, had to get own refreshments, heating not on, locks on doors difficult to use, no cups provided, had to get them from bar also, TV analogue still!!!
The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was adequate and clean and view over river was very picturesque. A lovely 400 year old building.
In need of revamping and modernisation and little noisy with traffic outside, but hey, you are in town centre.
The room and hotel was substandard, and needing to be upgraded as it looked in a state of disrepair, and very dindgy and worn and decrepit.
the single room was dirty, dindgy, depressing and was very much like a prison cell. the other room i stayed in was nicer, but still looked run down and needs to be upgraded.
friendliness of all the staff working there
it could be alittle cleaner but then the price would increase accordingly as explained by management
Very small dusty room with no soap and a window that can not close properly For the 7 o'clock breakfast nobody turned up until 8.30 and then breakfast was served on the bar counter, a box of corn flakes, torned open and a plastic bottle of milk.
Friendly and helpful staff - went out of their way to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. Good food and beer.
Dreadful traffic noise - difficult to avoid in any of the single rooms on the first and second floors.
We don't feel good because the people are not enjoying with their job, so the client does not enjoy his stay.
