Thehotel was clean and staff very friendly
I would like to take my mother there but found it not very good for wheelchair users
The fact that you had rooms available over Airbourne and for that the location is excellent.
Probably more a personal preference than a complaint but I have never found the dining room furnishing to be as good as at other 3* hotels. It is not as good as the Chatsworth or Lansdowne which I would chose above the Mansion if all else was equal. I have no strong views on the next two questions
Very nice clean place that was close to the pier, shopping and the beach. The staff was helpful and courteous, and friendly.
The hotel was adequate, but is dated and needs to be modernised.
The hotel is on the seafront which gives brilliant views. The Staff were courteous and friendly and did try to help us when things went wrong. I also watched them with the mainly elderly guests and they were very patient and helpful.
The first room we stayed in had a tv that looked as if it belonged in a museum.... to be fair when we complained they replaced it with a new flat screen tv. The Shower was disconnected and looked as if it had been like that for a long time. When we were given a different room....no tv... and no kettle... and they could not give us one..... the hotel is being refurbished...but when I pay to stay in a hotel I do not expect to have to complain before I get a reasonable service. I asked for a room accessible by an elderly person and had to go down 9 steps to get to room.
Unable to get a coffee at 22.10 saturday night,no hot water in the room on both mornings, dinning room ran out of bacon at breakfast no substitute offered, diiner must be the worst I have eaten, other guests were of the same opinion, and monday mornig breakfast was cold must have been cooked for hours
No good points
The staff were unfriendly and rude. The breakfast was cold. The general up keep of the building was poor. There was wires hanging out the ceiling etc. Our shower did not work properly, the toliet did not flush properly.
The beachfront locaqtion
The bedroom & ensuite had obviously had the start of refurbishment and the ensuite espically was not up to standard. The heat of the hot water coming from the hot tap I thought was dangerous for the elderly or the young children.
The room was very spacious.
Electric fan did not work.
Friendly and clean.
We were in one of the bedrooms that had not been refurbished.
