The hotel was central to many of the tourist destinations. A tram ran past the hotel that allowed for easy transportation.
The location on a main thoroughfare meant a considerable amount of noise.
Clean. Efficient staff
Rooms a little under-lit and gloomy
Location, value for money
turkish breakfast not very suitable for westerns, staff had only reasonable english skills, thin walls, elevator not working all the time
Location was perfect, rooms were simple, but clean and cozy. Double glazed window isolated street noise.
(i) Paper thin walls, I could hear neighbor room on shower. Rom was in front of the lift that led to breakfast, from 7am a series of door slaming and guest chatting prevented me to sleep. (ii) Staff spoke basic english, having difficult to help with general turism questions. (iii) A mix up in their records accounted for us checking out 2 days before the real checkout date. After several minutes trying to convince them that we still had 2 more nights, I get in to my room to find all my stuff "packed" in my suitcase! It seams the cleaning lady wanted to kick us out of the room as fast as possible. I really did not apreacite someone touching my things and and trowing away my earplugs! (iv) turkish breakfest not suitable for western
Kafkas IS value for the money spent, it's location is excellent, the view from the breakfast terrace is magnificant.
The promised WiFi was not free of charge.
Limited choice at breakfast
Very nice view from terrase on top of hotel.
I payed triple room, but we get double room + extra bed
Very reasonable value for money. Nice view from the tarrace on the roof. Suprisingly good standard of rooms. Modest but tasty breakfast.
I would expect bathroom, towels and sheets to be somewhat more clean (nothing serious though). There was planty of white bread but I wish they had more than a few of these good bans.
Rooms are good sized, good water pressure, great A/C. The price quoted online is price paid. Great staff and English spoken by staff big plus. The open terrace is great. Typical Turkish morning buffet was good and plentiful. Staff took care of issues immediately and to my satisfaction. Great location with tram only about a block away. Shops restaurants, train station, ferrys all steps away.
Turkish hotel beds are always too firm. No real place to place your luggage and no luggage racks. Only one or two English TV channels. Having internet in rooms would be nice. Water was off a couple of mornings due to construction on the street. These were not real big issues. I would stay here again.
The staff were extremely frıendly and helpful. The breakfast was always fresh. There were plenty of other travelers at the hotel. The central locatıon of the hotel was great, especıally for safety as a sıngle female traveler.
The ınternet servıce ıs far too expensıve (YTL1 for 13 mınutes)
