Freindly staff, excellent location
Breakfast was fantastic - wonderful views off the breakfast terrace and excellent buffet selection. Excellent hotel location - close to all major amenities, including tramway system, taxi stops, bazaars and several major tourist sites. Free wi-fi - major bonus not offered at major hotels like Sheraton or Meridian. Rooms are decent - we stayed four people and got two joined rooms with one queen and two double beds - relatively comfortable and clean.
Toilets too close to the shower. water floods into the bathroom from the shower stalls, staff can be lax in customer service i.e. informing us where breakfast is etc.
Shared bathroom was poor. Makeshift shower arrangement in the toilet?
The hotel was good and I would stay at same hotel again in future when visiting Istanbul. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is in the old part of the city between both the spice bazaar and the grand bazaar. Also tours are within walking distance from hotel.
It has an excellent location, very close to all the main sights such as Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque etc and very close to many cafes and restaurants. Room was small, but clean and tidy. Room rate was relatively inexpensive.
Staff were not at all friendly and were sullen, with the single exception of a younger night receptionist. The main stair carpet had gone beyond shabby and was unsafe in places. There is no lift. Had to demand a room change ie get a room with a view of Blue Mosque which I had agreed to pay extra for. Staff were unhappy at making this change - didn't seem that they could be bothered
Great location, you cannot ask for better, good view from restaurant.
staff don't speak english. Big trouble of getting warm milk for my baby, every single day! You get what you pay for, but really good apart of that. excellent if you travel with no kids,
The view of blue mosque from room.
Size of the room was too small to live comfortably.
The hotel staff was really helpful. The room we got for the second time was worth its price.
The window of the bathroom in the first room we stayed couldn't be shut so it was very cold in there. In the second room it was all right but there was no separated shower cubicle and the tap was damaged.
The hotel was exceptional value for money - especially when considering the location and view from the terrace. Couldn't ask for any more.
Nothing about the hotel itself - but I took up their offer of a "private airport pick-up", and took that to meaning it was just me and my guest. I don't mind sharing a lift with other travellers, but I was disappointed that we were kept up to an hour in Arrivals by the driver because the other guests, from a different hotel, hadn't arrived yet. Leaving us to sit on our bags and disappearing for long stretches of time was not what I consider a good service. The hotel, however, was excellent
