Although I spent only 6 hours at the hotel, it was worth every penny. I was returning from a trip abroad and had a 9 hour layover in Houston. I arrived at the hotel after hours, but the night receptionist was quick and attentive. When she noticed that I had several suitcases with me, she gave me a ground floor room so I wouldn't have to haul all of stuff up the stairs. The AC in the room was a nice relief from the Houston heat. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The next morning I took the free hotel shuttle back to the airport, which was a fantastic amenity. If I ever have a long layover in Houston again, I will stay here!
The neighbors were loud and boisterous calls were made and nothing was done about it...did not get no sleep and my 4 month old daughter kept waking up to there music and drunkerness..
Either a night awarded since nothing was done and better staff to facilitate the property..
I had a 12 hour layover at the IAH and I just wanted to sleep on a bed before continuing my trip. Well this hotel was just what I needed: they picked me up at the airport at 1 am, the check in was very easy (I had called a few days before, letting them know that I was gonna arrive late) and the room was bigger than i was expecting. It had a small coffee machine, an air blower, even an ironing table. The breakfast was ok, not many options, but the coffee was good and they have a make-a-waffle station. They called my room letting me know that my shuttle to the airport was there, and the check out, again super easy. The best part for me was that they don't charge you resort fees!
I was looking for fruit at breakfast, nothing fancy, just apples and bananas would be nice.
Would like a refund
I had a reservation for the a one night stay. On my way to Houston I was involved in an accident, and unable to make it to the hotel. I called 2 times and spoke to someone at the front desk. She kept saying that the hotel policy is that you have to provide at least 24 hour notice in order to cancel. I made several calls to the booking companies and none one there was able to help me out in getting a refund on my stay. I call a third time and asked to speak to the manager and that person was conveniently out. Please someone explain to me how I am supposed provide 24 hours notice that I'm going to get into an accident on my to Houston. All I want is my refund on the room that I never stayed in. If you want proof that I was in an accident I have pictures of my vehicle with the damage posted on the hotels review section of the site. Could I possibly get a call back to discuss a refund on the room?
Like that it was update with room and clean for the price definitely would stay again
Looks are deceiving
The updated, modern design of the rooms was nice and made the room feel higher class. The area was also very convenient. Would be good for a business trip.
Sheets were soiled on arrival. We called to ask for new ones but received nothing. We called back 20 minutes later and were told we had to go get them ourselves, only to go back up to the room and discover they were the wrong size. House keeping came once during the 4 day stay and all they did was make the bed, despite asking the front desk to make a note for our room to change the sheets out. We also ended up running out of toilet paper due to this. Also, our bathroom door wouldn't shut without brute force, and one of the lamps straight up didn't have a light bulb in it. Also very easy to hear what was going on outside of the room.
Location is convenient, very close to the airport; room seems to be newly renovated; decent size
1) No sound proof in hotel rooms - can hear the traffic noise very easily; 2) so called "hot breakfast" is very simple, nothing tasty. We had to get our breakfast somewhere else because it was so uninteresting.
Great room rate, liked the fridge/microwave to save leftovers, close to the airport and 24 hour shuttle service. Newly remodeled was nice too.
