Well located, old Madrid at its feet! The staff was very friendly, interner was free and worked well.
A littles noisy at night.
very helpful staff, central location, nicely decorated rooms
a littel noisy but not too bad, could have heated rooms and water a little more
Nice and clean room, reception very kind, always trying to help.
Internet WiFi needs improvement.
The people of the reception were very kind. Always willing to help. The room/beds were perfect with a lovely shower. We had a room on the inside so we did not hear anythong of streetnoise.
Modern and nice furnishing, very tasteful, comfortable and charming. Centrally located, everything can be reached on foot.
We were given a spacious bright corner room with double bed and separate sofa/tv area. Room was gorgeous, stylish decoration, high ceilings and 3(!) french balconies, one of which was glassed in. Bathroom had a massage shower! The room overlooked the square and streets below. Shops, pedestrain area, restaurants, metro, etc right outside. Walking distance to tourist sites - great location! Friendly helpful staff. 24 hour reception. Hotel felt very safe. The light sweeping curtains gave a romanitc feel to the room. Light and sound from the streets outside could be blocked out by internal folding window-shutters. Did not have problems with noisey neighbours. This hotel is a real find. Wish we could have stayed longer!! Excellent value!!
We liked everything! For the price the room was way beyond our expections, we were blown away. Would definitely recommend this hotel
The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is well maintained. The location is excellent - close to the metro, tourist sites, restaurants, etc. In short, the price you pay is in line with the overall quality of the hotel.
Noise levels may be loud during the night as fellow guests return from the pubs and discotheques - my wife and I were awakened at 4AM by our neighbours returning from a night of partying.
This is not really a complaint, but perhaps the website could point out that the hotel does not have an obvious entrance on the street. Like many hotels in Madrid, it seems, the hotel is on an upper floor of a building that houses other businesses. Many travelers would be looking for a hotel with the usual entrance lobby. To get into the Hotel Gala you need to get entry via a locked door on the street. When I arrived there was a very loud construction site right at the door so I couldn't use the intercom to the hotel. I was only able to get in when some other people with keys to the door arrived and I entered with them.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable and clean rooms. Perfect location. Удобное местоположение. Небольшие, но очень чистые комнаты с современным дизайном. Приветливый персонал. Идеальное соотношение цена-качество.
*Excellent location, right in the centre of town. *Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. *I had booked a twin room but was given a double, it was small but in immaculate condition. The shower has to be seen to be believed, definitely the best hotel shower I have ever had the pleasure of using! *Located on 2nd floor of lovely 19th century apartment block.
*The plaza below is very noisy at night, but the staff do have ear plugs on hand if you need them.
