Very nice little hotel
Enjoyed my stay here, staff both on the desk and at the bar were very helpful and friendly. Location was close enough to metro that going to the main sites was really easy (normally only one stop). Bedrooms were a very good overall size and i belive they all had a small balcony area. The hotel as a whole was very clean also.
Sadly the area the hotel is located was a bit more on the rougher side and you do have to be weary of thieves. Breakfast was also slightly limited and bacon was stored touching vegetarian options.
The best part of the room was a terrace, so do not hesitate to book a slightly more expensive room and ask for 6th floor - the view of the Lycabettus Hill is fantastic. The staff is very friendly. It is great choice if the main reason for your stay is National Archeological Museum, which is basically around the corner. It is a good value for money, but next time I will stay in the Syntagma Square area.
The location is not the best, you will have to get a cab or public transport to get to main attractions (3-4 bus stops). Bus ticket is 1 euro, cab may be very expensive, because taxi drivers seriously overcharging tourists and their taximeters not at the right speed. Victoria metro station (which is supposed to be nearest) is closed and works seem to continue forever, so from the airport you will get to Monastiraki station, please do not take taxi, walk from there, its just 20 minutes. Breakfast which is included is quite poor, to be honest. Eggs, ham, cheese and pastry are not the best quality and doneness, but we discovered after several days Greek Yoghurt, it was very good to mix with fresh fruits and commercially prepared granola.
The front-desk staff really deserve a compliment, they do an excellent job! Rooms are great, they are sound-proof, come with a nice bathroom and the pillows are also good.
a very good budget hotel
The hotel staff is so professional and polite that staying in hotel becomes a great pleasure.
I didn't like the smell of sigarettes in the room
Friendly staff, excellent maintenance and housekeeping; very good location near metro station, frequent buses.
Noise from street, especially at night.
The hotel is modern, with new furniture and nice interior design. Rooms has no mistake, also the location is perfect, walking distance to city center and all interesting places. Hotel staff is very nice, friendly, helpful and joyful.
The only minus for the hotel is the location near the main road so for people who like to sleep with window open can be a bit noisy during the night.
Hotel is new, furniture is sparkling new. Bathrooms very comfortable. Very nice staff. Very good quality for money.
View from some of the rooms is a disaster! Also, because hotel is completely new, small details still need to be fixed. For instance a hook for the shower head is needed. In my room some essential pieces of furniture were missing (no chair, no desk)
Hotel staff was very friendly, rooms are vert nice and new and good location, close to Victoria metro
The hotel was extremely new, as I heard that it had been opened just one month ago, the location is good and safe, staff is friendly, I highly recommend this hotel for persons who want to stay in safe, good, economical place..
The hotel was new and somethings were still non-exist (minibar, curtain at bath ,etc.)
Good location, sparkling cleanliness, elegant, though minimalist, furniture
20-Second noisy vibration after flushing toilet (did not hear it from neighbouring rooms), absence of safe, nothing to grip in shower, no easy chair, only a stool. At the price, these are not serious failings.
With a stay at Areos Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Athens, just a 3-minute walk from National Archaeological Museum of Athens and 14 minutes by foot from Omonia Square. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and express check-in.
