From the time we entered reception until we checked out. We were delighted with the service and the helpful staff. Quiet pleasant surroundings highly recommend.
Very friendly and good quality
The main hall of the hotel is first rate we were lucky to have an upgrade room above the small reception in the hall very smart !
Would have liked a bar menue with more competative prices ! and at least one chicken dish. We decided to eat in the resturant with a very small price difference. Wine is overpriced ?. However food first rate and well served.
the staff were helpful and polite. the room was spacious. the hotel was nice and had a nice atmosphere.
the fridge in our room did not work. there was no hot water on two occasions which you would expect there to be. the room was a bit noisy due to weddings.
We stayed for our sons graduation. We have always stayed at Norwood when we visit Aberdeen. We have found the staff friendly and helpful and the food excellent. The only downside is that the decor is very gloomy and makes the place darker still. We would stay there again.
The staff were very nice and wanted to help, the room was also very pleasant and in keeping with the character of the building. I have stayed here before so was very disappointed, I must have been spoilt the last couple of times I stayed.
The wireless conection did not work anywhere in the hotel even though I paid extra and Breakfast is a nightmare if you on business, they are so, so relaxed, I ran out of time before I even got served so I went without both days.
Very pleasant location, clean and spacious room with excellent en-suite facilities. Friendliness of all the staff.
Due to a wedding going on the service on that day was a bit slow, however this did not impar the quality of the food. Facilities for enjoying the 11 acres of grounds, which were beautiful, restricted - ie. walking the grounds.
Food and comfort
I came for the peace and quiet - the hotel is in a secluded spot. Friendly staff and a good, hearty breakfast
No one thought to mention there was a wedding reception taking place and my room was adjacent to the ballroom so I 'enjoyed' the wedding band all evening and didn't sleep a wink. When I complained the next morning the receptionist said 'oh I'm really sorry about that' which made me feel a whole lot better. Don't forget to ask if they're hosting a wedding - even on a Monday night!
The design of the hotel, good car park and its close to the city.
Setting of hotel
Not being left in peace at dinner. My partner and I were the only diners. Waitress stayed in dining room and was constantly enquiring if everything was alright. Some privacy would have been nice. The dinner itself was vasty overpriced for the quality of food on offer. Also hotel very dingy in public rooms. Felt like yiu were in a retirement home.Would not recommend this hotel.
